Nice and quiet place

We stayed at Seehotel Ichlim from 19 to 22 January 2026. We had booked room with balcony and got a nice room on the 1st floor with good views of the lake. We ate at the hotel all three nights and got the same good window table with views of the lake both every evening and for breakfast all days. Nice attention. The food was good. We were lucky and experienced the most beautiful northern lights in the sky over the lake.
There was clean everywhere. Good and friendly attention from both staff and owner.

Super nice, small hotel for a relaxing vacation or short trip to the Mecklenburg Lake District.

Beautifully situated, very quiet hotel on Lake Nebelsee. Spacious, clean rooms (we had No. 5 with a lake view, definitely book a lake view!). Extra pillows or different pillows were also available upon request, which worked out great. Also, many heartfelt thanks again to the ladies at the reception, who also took care of special requests ☺️ In general, the staff is very friendly overall. And the hotel has a very good price-performance ratio (after all, the end of July is high season).
Rich breakfast buffet and 3-course set menu as part of the half-board (Water-Hiking-Fun package). Otherwise a la carte. You can also just go there to eat - there is a great terrace with a direct view of the lake. Coffee, ice cream, and homemade cake are available, as well as hearty dishes.
What I found particularly convenient was that we could book our canoe (kayaks and motorized boats are also available) at short notice directly through the reception. Simply a great experience to paddle off in a canoe directly from the hotel (including sightings of ospreys, white-tailed eagles, cormorants, and more) ❤️ And a swan family came regularly in the evening to the small hotel-owned swimming bay (sandy beach with beach chair, loungers, etc.). To my knowledge, the water quality is very good (water lilies, mussels, fish, etc.) and also well-suited for swimming. A great hotel for relaxing! However, it is best to have a vehicle (car), as the hotel is located in a very quiet area.

Magical Journey to the Mist Lake

The short break at the Seehotel was once again just wonderful. The hotel is run with a lot of love and passion. You can see that everywhere. The room was clean and cozy. The view from the balcony just magical. Friendliness from reception to staff, to restaurant. Everything is very personal and you have the feeling that every wish is fulfilled. The food, as always very good. The portions unfortunately too huge, but better than too small. Conclusion, the trip was completely successful and we booked back in time for September, because the hotel is no longer an insider tip. Everyone who has ever been here dreams of the Nebelsee, his hotel, the peace and quiet and will definitely come back. Barbara Doll

Lovely friendly hotel and restaurant on the banks of a lake

I came here twice for a coffee and a snack whilst on my walks with my trusty Hovawart dog, Bero. On the first occasion I was ushered to a side room to the main restaurant with an excellent view over to the lake. A pleasant lady took my order of a cafe macchiato and piece of strawberry cake. She also bought a bowl of water for Bero. On the second occasion, mid afternoon on a Friday I was again asked to move through to the same room where another friendly lady took my order - this type a draft beet (Duckstein Rotblond) and a delicious fish soup which was more like a rich stew. I can thoroughly recommend that.
On both visits the waitresses we met were extremely "gastfreundlich" and happy to chat even though, on the Friday, they were busy preparing the main restaurant for the evening dinner/entertainment. I never saw another guest and I can imagine that this a lovely, peaceful place to spend a few days away from the maddening crowd.

Good SeeHotel Overnight Stay

This hotel is on a bike route in the Lake area of N. Germany . Immediately on a beautiful lake . Great inside secure bicycle storage.
Rooms large and bright with several windows . Only shortfall was of the three windows only one had screening and the mosquitoes were in full force ,
Bed comfortable, bathroom very clean . Had a lift and this was not noted in the Booking.com site . A wonderful surprise.
On site restaurant was quite good with numerous food choices all at reasonable price point .
Breakfast was also good .
