Lovely family run hotel in beautiful rural location

Arrived in a mid-Summer thunderstorm and the staff couldn't have been more helpful, very friendly and made the children (and ourselves) so welcome.
Hotel is in a lovely location within the Black Forest, with an easy 5 minute stroll into the small town with just the essential amenities (pub / restaurant, small shops, etc).
Room was very spacious for our family, and it was wonderful to have 2 separate rooms (the children's single beds were in a kind of entrance / separate section). Overall, the accommodation was very spacious, even including a large balcony with pleasant view.
The kids also loved the hotel grounds, where they made friends with the hotel's bunny rabbit! PS - only downside was lack of working wi-fi

Small hotel in good location for hiking and excursions. Friendly service. Breakfast pleasantly sufficient. Clean

Small hotel in good location for excursions and hikes. Walk off the road to Wolfach very nicely along the creek.
Room and bathroom are a nice size.
Large balcony, but out back no view and not relaxing.

Almost everything is great

Mrs Schacher is very hospitable and organizes everything superbly.
The rooms are a decent size, well equipped and clean, even right after breakfast.
Speaking of breakfast: if you don't arrive in the breakfast room by 8 a.m. at the latest, you'll find a pretty stripped-out (otherwise plentiful) buffet, it feels a bit like eating leftovers.
Other than that, a real recommendation, and the price is absolutely reasonable. Stay for 2025 is already booked

Fantastic Gasthaus makes vacation perfect

We had a bit of a difficult time finding the location because 2A would not go into our GPS but the Hotel is wonderful. We booked the apartment and was so impressed with the spacousness of the room and the fantastic appearance. Not a thing was out of place and it was clean clean clean. The breakfast was a high point with all the wonderful local breads, cheeses, jams, fruit, etc, Lovely hostess is friendly and made us feel at home completly

Amazing Stay

My boyfriend and I just happened upon this inn on our travels through the Black Forest, and we couldn't have found a better place. We only stayed one night last May, but I wish we could have stayed more. Besides being a beautiful property, the owners were super friendly. After we had dinner, we got some beer and wine and hung out downstairs. After awhile the owner came and sat down with us, shared all different types of beers and schnapps and told us stories & jokes. The next morning we woke up to a really great breakfast. I really couldn't have asked for anything more. I will definitely stay there again!
