New Year's Eve
We had booked with 3 other couples the New Year's Eve party in Scheyern and at the same time the overnight stay. All rooms were a bit different. Ours had a large bathroom with window, but otherwise was not very large. For the others, it was rather the other way around. Everything was very clean and tidy. We slept very well. The breakfast- well .... You had to ask for something to be replenished. It also took some time for bread. You got fed up.
Very nice is also the chapel on the grounds.
Shortly to the New Year's Eve celebration, here we have massively lowered the age average. It is estimated that the audience was already retired. The ambience was very nice and festive but also the menu very good. There was a live band.

Not recommended
The bed was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the check-in process was disastrous. The reception staff was not staffed, and a service person who approached us was neither professionally nor appropriately dressed. She immediately addressed us by "you."
There were also difficulties with card payment. Also the orientation in the hotel was poor as the room was hard to find.
The bathroom was in bad condition: The shower was not grouted correctly and had no shower tray floor. During our entire stay, we did not receive any information on the main services such as Wi-Fi or the check-out process.
The Price quality ratio we felt was inappropriate as there were no amenities such as a minibar or other Service. The check-out was very impersonal and cool, and the noise insulation of the rooms was extremely poor.

Fine overnight stay
Nice overnight stay on the way to Austria. Minimalist but everything you need is present. Good bed, great breakfast and good beer. No, there's no minibar. Who needs that? We had a great time. I've had more expensive nights in the neighborhood with less fun

The modest hotel within a monastery
The monastery was quite easy to find with our GPS, but when we arrived it was not clear, where to find the hotel. There were no signs, or at least we didn't see any. We did ask for the hotel desk at the restaurant. The waiter find another person, who came to check us in. The hotel was located next to the restaurant and we got our room. The room was quite simple and modest. For 5 EUR pro person we got quite good, but simple breakfast. What was good - the breakfast started quite early. The checkout was simple like that - we just left the key on the counter, because nobody was there to do any checking out. The dinner at the restaurant was also quite simple. It seemed that the main thing there is beer drinking.

Mediocre
Stayed as was attending a wedding nearby. Facilities are pretty basic for €100 a night. Booked a triple and notified then that there would be four of us but it turns out that they couldn't supply a spare folding bed on the day. Not sure why this is such a Herculean task. I would have helped carry it to the room!
The room was large so space would have been more than enough for four.
Room overlooked the beer garden (#23) so was pretty noisy well past midnight.
It's in an old monastery complex so no lift either if you have much luggage.
Breakfast at €5 a head is very basic considering that you are in the heart of a farming area.
We had one meal in the beer garden which was good hearty fare. Very good and friendly service too.
If you are in the area I heard there were nicer places to stay in Neubu a d Donau. Surrounding countryside is very pretty however and looks good for walking and cycling.
