The Hotel is nice and the rooms are clean.
The only problem is the breakfast in the morning. Tables will not be cleaned when guests are finished and difficult to find someone from the staff when you have a question or to need something. The breakfast basic.
The food in the restaurant was ok.

Booked a deluxe double room, was allocated a twin room with extremely small single bed. When I questioned this I was moved to a down graded room with another single bed. I gave up after that.

Failing Christmas goose

My negative experience with Landhaus Schieder relates to the restaurant to go. The one on 1. Christmas holiday 2025 picked up roasted Christmas goose to go did not meet expectations in its entirety. The goose was not fully cooked, the braid was very tough, which significantly affected consumption and also stopped. The goose failed to convince overall and fell well short of what you can expect from a Christmas dinner.
On my written complaint with reference to poor quality of the goose, I received a detailed letter of apology offering to refund the purchase price EUR 109 and additionally an announcement to receive a voucher for a 4 course candle light dinner. Despite repeated reminder letters, after 2 months there was neither a refund nor a credit for the promised candle light dinner. With incomprehension and disappointment I have to take note of the behavior of Landhaus Schieder and will think carefully in which restaurant I order the next Christmas goose!

Once been good, now rather moderate

Once-good cuisine has recently significantly diminished in side dishes, desserts, sauces and soups. Unfortunately, the prices have risen a lot and at the same time the opening hours have been massively reduced. The favourable lunch break is cancelled altogether. That way, regulars can be scared off quickly. Unfortunately, the portions were also getting smaller and smaller.

I'll find another place for the next party.

I was really looking forward to a nice evening with my granddaughter as it was my birthday that night. The table I reserved has been forgotten. Too bad I wanted to give my guest a nice evening as well. Last year there was a pretty decoration with candle. A greeting from the kitchen, doesn't have to be but I enjoyed it. Unfortunately, it didn't work out so well with the operation either. You didn't feel comfortable as a guest. Our food was fine, that's not alone what should make a good Service.
