A fair priced business hotel for travellers

The staff is really helpful. Hotel is very clean and has a good breakfast for a two star hotel. There is a beautiful park to walk/sightseeing across the hotel.
Downsides: There are no shopping facilities around the hotel. If you want to go downtown, need to change two bus/tram. We have used taxi to airport and Messe Stuttgart all times.

Clean and functional, low-key, good value hotel

This hotel is as humble as you would expect from a conference centre and hotel owned by the Catholic Church. The service was very friendly and competent. The room was clean and everything worked well. It was obvious that a lot of work dates from the 1980s but nothing was in any way shabby. The hotel is very well maintained. Parking was free. Wireless internet was € 1.50 per day and worked very well. Breakfast was € 9.00 and fairly good, even including scrambled and boiled eggs and fried bacon. As long as you are not put off by the occasional Christian symbol in rooms and corridors you will enjoy this good value hotel. The botanical/exotic park across the entrance makes for a good long walk.

Peaceful place

Not sure why you would find yourself in a quiet suburb of Stuttgart (business at Kelley Barrack, easy access to the airport or perhaps you might have a child training at the Sportschule Ruit (my excuse)) but regardless of the reason for your visit, if you are looking for an inexpensive, tranquil hotel with clean rooms and a comfortable bed, this is your place. Truly. The staff were friendly, check in and out were a breeze and the room was dark and quiet with an adequate bathroom and other amenities. Simple and utilitarian, this place was the perfect spot for a couple night stay. (only minor glitch - wifi access was for only 24 hours which seemed a bit strange; not a big deal though)

Quiet place with good transport links to Stuttgart

Nice quiet place near beautiful park. Restaurant worth a visit a the top of the street.
Room clean and tidy. No bar but a fridge with beers and soft drinks available on lower ground floor. No bars or pubs within miles but nice and easy to get to the station with very regular trains. 10 mins in a cab from airport. Cost about 15 euros.
A great stay if you want tranquility with a friendly reception.

Sent a nice night here - Close to airport and Kelley Barracks.

Had a nice stay in this hotel which is attached to the local Church. It use to be German Army hospital in WW2 and has a lot of history.
Right across the street is the lovely botanical garden of the Hohenheim University. I did not order breakfast, but in the basement is a small self-serve bar and snack area which runs on the honor system. Just take what you need and inform the front-desk at checkout. I love this area, and it is quiet and residential. The U-Bahn stop at Plieningen and a grocery store are minutes away, as is the Garbe restaurant and its beer garden. Airport is maybe 10 minutes away, and less than that to Kelley barracks.
Great stay at a value price.
