Nice hotel, GREAT restaurant!!

This is a hotel in a very very small village outside of Aalen. The hotel is nice, clean. A little outdated in terms of furnishing in the rooms, everything has that old German hotel theme… but nothing is worn or dirty in any way.
The restaurant is absolutely to die for!!! I was not expecting such amazing food but it is absolutely top class!!!
I will stay again just for the restaurant!

The picture says it all.

Unfortunately, it was our worst pizza to date. Burned, and the dough was hard and sour.
After serving, we paid and left. Actually, a cheek to put something like this on the table at all, and to settle accounts fully.
Never Ever.

Good accommodation

We spent one night after a long motorcycle stop at this property. The hotel is very clean with a very large room. Good restaurant and breakfast in the morning. It has a large parking space and a spa area that we did not use. Also good price.

Fines

Got fined for a little girl accidentally wetting herself in bed, despite booked family room and stated ages (three and four are). No understanding of family at all, claiming that you do not understand English but to convey messages about “fines” and that it was the boss’ orders was no problem.
Strongly discourages family to visit on the trip.
Hard beds, feather scarves perceived to be from the 80s.
Right next to a church with whatever it means with bell ringing etc.
That they have four stars feels completely incomprehensible, possibly three at best if you disregard that you are fined for accidents caused by small children.

Negative experience

I booked directly on the adler-westhausen.de website an "Apartment fuer vier personen" for one adult and three children for the night 17/18 May. On the site, the Zimmers, without kitchen, are clearly distinguished from the Apartments, with kitchen (Kuechenzeile), the screenshot is authentic. I received a confirmation email saying "Apartment". Upon arrival, however, we were assigned a Zimmer without Kuechenzeile. To my complaints, the responses were very unfortunate: that the Apartment was occupied, that there are also Apartments without kitchens (this isn't true: they are not indicated as such on the site; and if they are without kitchens, then they are Zimmers, not Apartments ), that what appears on their site does not count (it is not true: what appears on the site has the value of a contract). I protested by threatening to call my lawyer and the police. I got the booking cancelled. But at eleven in the evening I found myself without a room, with three children.
