Delicious. Good value for money.
For years, Langerfeld Hof has been our favourite restaurant when it comes to Yugoslav and international cuisine. The ambience is nice, the service and the boss very friendly. I can also recommend the LH for larger celebrations.

The hotel visit was disappointing
The hotel is secluded in a commercial area. A busy road passes by. Those arriving before 5:30 p.m. must dial a number and will be admitted a few minutes later. The recording is simply a formal act. After receiving the handwritten room card, you look for your room. You should definitely be mobile. After storing everything in the simply and functionally furnished room, I wanted to leave this one. But then had to find out that the door could not be locked. The staff replied that nothing had ever gotten out of here. The reaction I found inappropriate and was assigned a new room. No offer to move my luggage. Uber was already on its way and so I had to pack everything up and bring it to the new room. That was then right on the road the noise insulation minimal. Then I was spurred on why I would not have started my last booking. Never booked there before and will certainly not want to book there again. Apparently there was a similar company name that booked there once.
The breakfast was OK for the price and the service also friendly.

Simple Rooms - Terrible Customer Service
We booked the hotel in July for 2 nights with 4 people (2 rooms) for a business ice cream.
The first impression at the hotel is actually quite neat. Everything relatively newly renovated. The second look is no longer so positive.
The bathroom is so small and inconveniently furnished that sitting on the toilet you can brush your teeth and wash your face. No, I don't mean that figuratively. You can't stand at the sink without the toilet bowl in your knees...
In detail, the furnishings are unkempt. Socket at the bed without function. Rod shower partition torn out + prevents the bathroom window from opening reasonably. Bedside drawer hangs obliquely - cheap furniture.
It's all more hooray than hooray. But the biggest annoyance is that we have been on the phone after the hotel for over a week, as we need a correct invoice (business trip). The invoice originally provided was completely incorrectly issued. The promised delivery of the correct invoice has not taken place despite repeated requests.
Even if we did not eat in the restaurant, this - this confirms the good occupancy - seems to be really good. Therefore, the general reviews of the Langerfelder Hof are good for now. Unfortunately, one has to distinguish between good restaurant and bad hotel operation...
We have already published the top part of this review in Google after visiting the hotel.
The corrected invoice came only after several insistent requests. We were clearly informed by the operator that he is not satisfied with the above review...
Only afterwards did our accounting department find out that the invoice amount had been paid twice, namely when Booking Referral through Booking.com and also when leaving the hotel.
At check out, the full room rate was demanded (unjustifiably), which our employee did not know.
The operator refused for weeks to refund the overpaid amount. Again, we were told of the "poor review" in the sense that we should not be surprised if everything would take longer. Meanwhile, we had prepared a complaint for fraud, but the amount owed was finally received yesterday.
Dear operator: Such behaviour is not possible!
The original review was objective and also highlighted positive aspects. However, the behaviour in the aftermath is absolutely unacceptable!

Great restaurant
This place is just outside Wuppertal and opposite a large 3M complex which is rather daunting. There is plenty of parking and you will have a warm welcome. The restaurant is superb with a really good atmosphere. It is decorated like a Croatian palace and even when full gives a sense of intimacy. There is an extensive menu but we particularly enjoyed the Veal Cordon Blue - indeed one of the best ever. It is run by a husband and wife team and there is no problem if you do not speak English. The hotel has about 23 rooms which are simple, smart and clean. I think they are designed for business or a stop over. Indeed this place is ideal on the way to Eastern Germany as it is very close to the motorway. A good breakfast is served the next day. There is not much to do if you want to walk nearby although you could view the river. Wuppertal centre is a 10 minute drive away. Five stars is based on the restaurant with the room 4 stars.

Very Enjoyable Lunch
I stopped by here for lunch as a guest in a party of 7 while visiting the locality.
All the meals were served promptly and all the meal choices when served looked appetizing. Nice variety in the menu.
In particular, my sea bass was great, served with a garnish of apple, peppers and potatoes.
My selection from the salad bar was also very acceptable as was my chicken soup as a starter. I very much enjoyed this meal.
