Perfect place & hosts to make our introduction to life and culture of Kingston very special indeed

We had a wonderful (but too short!) stay at Tranquility with Lorna and Jaxx - we really couldn't have been happier! Tranquility fully lives up to its name, a real haven in the hills (Jack's Hill to be precise) above Kingston but with the city within very easy striking distance. It's close enough to the city to feel the vibe (especially during 'Champs'!) The all-round views are fantastic: towards the Blue Mountains and over Kingston town. Lorna was a great host and made us feel very much 'at home' & welcome in her beautiful home. The breakfast of local produce was a treat each morning and Lorna's special recipe Rum Punch the very best we had on our travels. All in all the experience made our introduction to life and culture in Kingston very special indeed. We hope we can return! ps Great location to be able to head for the Sunday night Dub Club on Jack's Hill, as well as travel to the must-visit community projects in Trenchtown and Fleet Street/ @Lifeyard - thanks for helping with your local tips

Tranquil by name, tranquil by nature

What a fabulous spot, sit on your balcony and watch over Kingston by day and by night. Wonderful host who gives you a proper breakfast to set you up for adventures down the hill in Kingston town. Loved the dogs. Loved the garden and want to comeback even before I leave.

Best view!

So close from Kingston and it feels yet so far away. What a incledible view of the city. During the day, during sunset, during sunrise, it's all great. The owner is really really nice, such a lovely lady. She made us feel so welcome! Food is served at the balcony with the great view. It was perfect, thank you!
It was a bit hard to find cause google maps doesn't recognize the road. And the name of the street is 'Close road', since there are some roadworks we read the singn as 'Closed road'. Just good to know when you're driving to the hotel.

Just amazing

Incredible place, lovely host, amazing place full of stories.
Can only recommend to check for variety of delicious food options all freshly prepared from local supply by the host Lorna.
Enjoy the piano, the living room or just sitting at the balcony overlooking Kingston and the bay from sunrise to dawn.
If you would like to enjoy authentic Jamaican culture – the Dub Club is within 15 min walking distance.

Tranquility Estate - A Must in Jamaica

Beautiful property up on the hillside - views are spectacular. Even though the house has other guests it always felt like we had the place to ourselves.
Room was clean and comfortable with lots of room to move and place your luggage. Wifi worked great.
Breakfast was delicious - variety of local fruit and fried specialties - really liked the fish, plainton and callaloo served up. The garden and pool are wonderful to take some time to chill out and enjoy the lovely weather and views - definitely recommend to utilise during your stay.
Lorna is a wonderful host who ensured our stay was perfect and we got the most out of our time in Kingston - she gave us suggestions on what to do/see/eat and ensured we had a knowledgeable driver to take us around during the day.
Definitely returning back to Tranquility on our next visit.
