A warm and simple welcome awaits you in Asahikawa
A quiet, kind, gentle unassuming man who loves outdoor mountain and winter sports. He says he wants to share beautiful mountainous area with others. He couldn’t be more obliging and nothing was too much trouble. He just wants the best for his guests and do whatever he can to help. Plenty of advice and help regarding where to go and how to get there. Also has a special deal with a local, nearby public bath.
The hostel is simple with an understated elegance and attention to detail, only a 10-15 minute direct walk from the JR station. It was immaculately clean throughout. Only three dormitories, private beds with curtains. There was complementary coffee and tea. We were invited to make a contribution via a little pot on the counter. Being small and simple it was easy to sit round the table and meet other travellers from around the world. All added to a feeling of being part of a family.

Highly recommended l
1) Bicycle-friendly hostel. There’s a working space for small repairs/maintenance next to reception
2) Larger than normal bunk bed in the 4-bedded mixed dorm. Backpack or bag can fit in the bunk bed.
3) Bed light that has 3 different intensity - a nice touch. Two charging ports and adequate hangers and clothesline in the bunk itself
4) Friendly, helpful owner who goes out of his way to make your stay not just comfortable, but memorable as well. He goes an extra mile to make sure you get the information that you asked for
5) Strategic location in the heart of Asahikawa, 1.2km from the JR train station
6) Compact, clean toilets with hot, good pressure showers
7) Has a shoe dryer for soggy rainy days
8) Strong Wi-Fi, free washing in machine (pay 100 yen for detergent, if needed) and a coin-operated dryer. For bulk drying of clothes, it is better to send to a laundromat nearby, 10 mins walk away
8) A beautiful, well-behaved and toilet-trained resident cat, Tama. She knows the boundaries of her wanderings and not a nuisance to guests

閉店し、新しいオーナーが別のゲストハウスを立ち上げる予定だそうです。
現在新オーナーが跡地に入居し、別のゲストハウス（アサヒカワライド）を開店するとのことです。
It seems that it was closed unfortunately.
Currently the new owner is scheduled to open another guesthouse (Asahikawa ride).

ほっとする宿
オーナーさんのオススメの食事処に行けば間違いないですし、立地も良くて食には困りませんね。
あとはコモンスペースにソファーがあると完璧なのですが、広さ的に難しいかな？

清潔で居心地のいいゲストハウスでした
予定時間より大分早く着いてしまっても丁寧に対応していただき、無事チェックイン
中のシャワールームや、トイレも清潔で
フリースペースではコーヒーのサービスもありゆったり過ごせました(´ω｀)
外国人バックパッカーの方との交流もできて
楽しかったです
自転車の方なら屋根付きの場所に停められるみたいで、自転車旅の方にも良いのではないでしょうか^_^
バイク旅の方でしたら近くに
バイカーズセレストショップ等があり、
バイクカルチャーも楽しめる場所と思います
また旭川に立ち寄った際は利用したいですね！
