A charming home for Hakodate travels

Simply lovely all around. The hospitality starts with the amazing hosts, who welcomed us profusely and even cleaned our luggage wheels to spotless while we were exploring the city (something definitely not included in the room rate...). It continues with the thoughtfully appointed rooms (we stayed in a traditional Japanese style room) and common areas. Laundry is provided on site for 200 JPY per load (washer/dryer separate).
We will 100% return to this property if we ever revisit Hakodate.

Pension Jokura was a very convenient and accessible accommodation in the middle of various tourist spots. The owners were very warm and assisted us when we had questions during the trip. I might come back again as the facilities were in tip top condition, the amenities were clean and the tatami mat was nice to sleep in.

Great experience and we had a very very good time

I actually stayed in Jokura on 2016 June 25th. I forgot to rate it because i was too busy. Recently, I saw the photos I took in Jokura. Iit reminded me to rate. The owner was so friendly; he took a photo of us and made our own chapsticks for us. He gave us some recommendations and advice on experience Hakodate.
This pandemic hurts people a lot. I truly hope we all stay safe and healthy. After the pandemic, I will visit Hakodate and stay in Jokura again.

very welcoming staff, clean and comfortable Ryokan centrally located in Hakodate

The guests are so communicative and welcoming. The room was like in a traditional Ryokan with tatami floor. All very clean. Location was very good to explore Hakodate.
Not a big deal but maybe they can consider offering breakfast :)

Best of Hakodate

These were the nicest people and the most beautiful home stay! We stayed here before the Hakodate Marathon and they even gave us a ride to the starting line along with a few other guests who were running. I ran the half marathon and finished before my husband who ran the full marathon. They let us leave our suitcase and even let me come back to take a shower after the race even though it was already clean for the next night’s guests. Our stay the night before was very comfortable. The place is absolutely spotless. Everything looks brand new! The bath was really relaxing and the futon beds were extremely comfortable. I hope to come back to Hakodate and stay here again!!
