If you're looking for a hot spring, this is an excellent value for money option.
If you plan on taking a bath in the hot springs at Ito Onsen, this inn offers excellent value for money. It is a one-night stay with breakfast only, no dinner. There are many sushi restaurants between the inn and Ito Station, and the inn has a map of recommended restaurants. Breakfast is a buffet starting at 7am. It is comparable to the breakfast at a business hotel. The rooms are old, but very spacious. They also have a bathroom and toilet. As for the hot springs, there are two large public baths and three private baths. All of these private baths are excellent. All the hot springs are direct from the source. The front desk staff are also very helpful. All this costs 7,000 yen on weekdays, and about 9,000 yen on the day before a holiday.

An affordable traditional hotel with a character; avoid the "western" room.
A very nice stay if you choose the traditional tatami + futon room, NOT the "western" room - that's a cramped hole on a gloomy exit staircase, separated from other rooms with a heavy door and outdoor hallway, no shower and wifi didn't work there - a big mistake to book it; we were lucky that it was possible to change it for a traditional room - spacious, light, with a shower and much more comfort, good wifi - even though it costs slightly more, it was worth it. The onsen is lovely though old, the staff very nice, the breakfast room elegant and pleasant. It is good to speak a little Japanese. Walkable distance from the station. An affordable choice if you want to make trips in the area.

A comfortable older hotel, with a nice outdoor bath
This is an older hotel that appears to be nicely maintained. We had a HUGE room with comfortable futon sleeping arrangements. The front desk (and breakfast) staff were friendly and helpful. A nice breakfast buffet is laid out in the lobby.
But the *real* draw are the onsens. One of the communal baths (they switch between men's/lady's at 10PM daily) has a very large outdoor bath attached. And of the three private baths (no additional charge), the one at the end of the volcanic air raid shelter tunnel is a fun chance to bathe in giant "cannibal pots."

当館の1番のお勧めはお風呂だす。
2つの大浴場と3つの貸切風呂をご用意しております。
大浴場はお天風呂のついております「流れ湯」と内湯だけの「京の湯」です。
午後10時に男性浴場と女性浴場の入替を行います。
ご宿泊のお客様は時間が合いますと2つのお風呂を楽しんで頂く事ができます。
また、3つの貸切風呂は「五右衛門風呂」「寝風呂」「露天風呂」とどれも個性的なお風呂です。

Horrible Accommodations, The Maid Room
I paid $150 for a regular room only to be put in the maid's room. I traveled all the way from California, and was there for 1 night. The staff doesn't speak English and they could not resolve the issue with their Hotel Broker, which is a Chinese Company. A very bad experience and you can find a lot of hotels in the same city that are much better. Will post pictures of the room they gave us.

Ruined a trip I’ve been waiting 9 Years to take
The hotel is affiliated with a Chinese company that is unethical and falsely advertised the room. I paid $150 USD for what I saw in the pictures and per the listing description, and was given what is known as the “maids room” with no shower or bathtub. Complained and was told they were fully booked, and I can shower in the Onsen. The stairs to the room were not safe especially climbing up the stairs with luggage.
