Great service by staff and spacious rooms. Breakfast area was limited in rush hours in the weekend, had to wait some few minutes before getting to the buffet. Two chefs prepared omelettes and french toast and other hot dishes. As always in Japan, it’s impeccable!

This hotel desperately needs cleaning and updating. The staff was excellent and gorgeous views but it was really run down and dirty unfortunately.

Awesome place to stay at the Izu Peninsula. it's very close to the Zoo and Mount Omuro. my kids love the indoor heated pool.

Huge hotel room with great view. Lots of amenities including game room, onsen etc. Thoughtful design for guests with pets. The only drawback is that there aee no utensils / cookware in the kitchen.

- The (non-usable) outdoor pool is dirty, leaves are floating in the water, and dirt has settled on the bottom, which not only clouds the pool water but also the first impression of the hotel.
- No loungers by the indoor pool, but an extremely chemical smell instead.
- Much is arranged here in a way that primarily works for the hotel itself and its employees: at every dinner, one is informed first about when one has to leave! There are time slots for meals that must be reserved, even though not every table is occupied; in the onsen, there aren't even towels – one must bring them from the room; for all activities, one must also reserve, not even the game room is freely accessible.
- The room has a kitchen, but there is no cutlery or dishes available (only for an extra charge).
- The buffet does not change, the same every day, meat and fries are cold.
- Unreliable reception with poor English skills: not even with the luggage service could they reliably tell us when the suitcase would arrive at the next hotel (completely different from our other hotels in Japan).
- Although the hotel is very remote, there are no e-bikes, no scooters, not even bicycles.
- The building and service seem as if they have simply existed for decades without ever being changed or optimized.
- There is no knife at breakfast, not even upon request! (I repeat: Not a single knife! No joke!)
- Particularly bizarre: there is neither a bar nor any other place where guests can gather during the day, have a drink, or spend money: apparently, the hotel's own revenue is the very last thing this hotel thinks about.
Overall, unfortunately not at a 4-star level.
