Great And Comfortable Base To Explore Kamakura

We stayed here for a night when we visited Kamakura over a couple of days.
The location is great, being near the JR train station and also near the center of town. The zen-like design of the hotel and the room was wonderful in creating a sense of peace and goodwill.
The room was a good size, and the large twin beds were comfortable. There was ample room to lay out the suitcases as well. They are strict about check in and check out times - 3 pm and 11 am respectively - but can hold the luggage for you. In fact, upon check in, they had already delivered our bag to the room.
The staff were friendly and helpful and aided us to make a dinner reservation. Breakfast was included, and was at the Muji shop downstairs. There was ample food and drink choices as well.
There was also a Family Mart located next door, which was super convenient.
We will definitely stay here again when we return to Kamakura.

Huge room, great location

Wow, I loved this place.
The location could not be better, just a few minutes walk from Kamakura station and with some really good restaurants in the vicinity.
I have grown accustomed to cramped Japanese hotel rooms so I was quite frankly shocked at the size of this room. It even has a seating area, kind of a raised living room, with a fairly big sofa. The TV is attached to the wall with a flexible arm, so you can swivel it towards the bed which was fantastic.
Having stayed in a bunch of Japanese hotels with cramped rooms that are just for sleeping as there is no room to hang out, it was nice for a change to be able to relax in something more spacious. It's quite pricier than other hotels I usually stay in, but sometimes you just have to treat yourself.
The interior is very modern and of course impeccably clean. The sink is located in the hallway which felt a bit odd, but that only meant more space in the bathroom.
I loved this place and would gladly stay here again.

Clean, quiet and location is 5 mins walk from train station making it convenient for sightseeing.

Great location. Very clean and quiet room. A lot of great quality complimentary toiletries provided. Definitely recommended!

Housekeeping is excellent, they kept our room clean at all times. This is my all-time favorite hotel!! Love love love the interiors, service and location. I always recommend Hotel Metropolitan to my family and friends.
