Houmeiden
It is a Japanese style hotel providing rich hot water from its own spring to its guests enjoy bathing. Open-air bath and private bath are available. Only 16 rooms are provided, feeling as if you are in a relative's house. Ocean view is prepared from all rooms. We prepare our dishes mainly with fresh seafood. Located in a good place with a view of Kominato bay, it is near to Tanjoji Temple and Tainoura bay to visit. Coffee lounge, karaoke room, small gift shop, and karaoke club are inside. 2nd time there and the view of the bay from the room is always great.
Dining area is nice and the servant was really kind and attentive to our toddler.
Dinner sashimi and cold soba dishes were our favorites.
The manager gave out son a pooh bear plushie to keep when she noticed he was fussy during dinner.
The onsen hot spring’s temperature was just right for us. Its not too hot so our toddler was actually fine going in! First time! Definitely take the option for their private bath.
Wished there was a option to have dinner in our room which would be great with families with toddlers, but this is becoming less commonplace nowadays. We felt bad for disturbing other guests when our little one was crying so one of us brought him back to our room for a while.
Also, there isn’t much around the ryokan in walking distance for sightseeing, so you’d probably be going for the onsen ryokan.
Overall, good choice if you’re looking for a good conventional onsen ryokan experience without bells and whistles.

I'm not going back.
I will never stay again. This time it was a no-show, but guests with two meals per night were not looked at. His surly master responds, refusing to pick him up or drop him off at the nearest station for not eating, and forcing him to walk endlessly in the intense heat. The description on the hotel website that you can enjoy various tubs is also exaggerated. Actually, you can request a private bath at 8 p.m. in 45 minutes for 3,300 yen, but you are rejected if it is not open for private use at that time. This is the worst hotel.

不愉快
旅館からの景色、部屋から花火を見れた事は良かったと思う
。
しかし、部屋も綺麗とは言えず、部屋に付いている風呂場からは異臭。
夜ふとん敷をお願いした後は部屋中が汗くさくなっていて不快な思いをした。
従業員の方の接客にも幾分違和感を感じた。
特に朝食時に、醤油が無かったのでお願いしたところ。
「醤油を使うような食材はございませんが」
との言われよう。
無理難題を要求したつもりは無かったので素直に対応して欲しかった。
その上納豆は味が薄い始末。
一番許せなかったのは朝食時の味噌汁が信じられない程冷たかった事。
我慢の限界だったので温め直しをお願いした。
味噌汁を冷たいまま客に提供できてしまう考え方にショックを受けました。
二度と行く事はありません。
ここまで値段に見合わないサービスを受けた事は初めてでした。
妻からも勉強になったねと悲しい一言を貰ってしまい旦那として面目が潰れてしまいました。
もう少しお客さんの目線に立ち今一度経営方針の見直しをした方がよろしいかと思います。
