Comfortable and Friendly

The only business hotel in Kitsuki, standard, welcoming, reliable.
Available through hotels.com.
No breakfast or restaurant, but - surprise - an onsen bath on the 8th floor.
The only nearby breakfast options are a Lawson or the Nepalese Vansa restaurant.
Many other places for lunch or dinner within easy walking distance.
Outside the historic centre, but just 50m from the bus terminal and the tourist office.
Bus from station takes about 10 minutes.
Kitsuki is a lovely old town, still off the radar of the gaijin tourist hordes.

Good hotel

Good hotel for a couple of night stay in Kitsuki clean very helpful staff onsen, lady at visitor information centre around corner helpful close to supermarket and corner store microwave in lobby would recommend for this area especially for visiting the Kunisaki peninsula lots of temples etc also the town is very interesting

Leisure trip

The rooms are clean and have all amenities. The bath house is open until midnight so you have time to go a local bar (at the concierges recommendation) and then have a soak after climbing all around town.

Friendly and passable

I stayed here on a business trip. This hotel is a little old and not a chain, but is quite conveniently located. The room was clean and had serviceable amenities, though it did smell smoky as I had not asked for a non-smoking room in advance. Still, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the hotel offered decent wi-fi and a hot spring bath upstairs. The front counter clerk was friendly and helpful. The hotel does offer breakfast, but they could not tell me what the breakfast would contain in advance. Japanese style breakfast with fish, soup, and rice was what was served. There are no coffee shops within reasonable walking distance, but it is quite close to a grocery store, convenience stores, bars, a big discount store, and just a few minutes' walk from the historic district.

山香エビネマラソンの拠点に。

部屋が清潔感に溢れていて、ホテル周辺も静かで落ち着くところでした。家庭的な雰囲気でした。何といっても、客室内の風呂にも天然温泉が出るというのが温泉県の大分県ならではだと思いました。
