A long-established hotel with a garden in the hotel

I used it at my accommodation.
It was a very quaint hotel and easy to spend. I feel a little stale, but it's not something that interferes with service delivery or comfort, it's also refreshing, and it was good.
Parking is located adjacent to the hotel (about 30m). It's a shame it's not underground or on the same premises, but it's not that far away.
The atmosphere of the hotel was not an image of a business hotel, but rather a history of taking on banquets and conferences such as celebrations and "crowded events" such as lodging in this region.
The receptionist and restaurant staff were also attentive.
The museum displayed such historical artifacts.
It is worth noting that there is a Japanese style garden in the facility, where you can take a short walk. I think it's a good spot for photography.
According to a friend from the town, many couples want to get married at this hotel, and their friend also got married there.
The room was clean and quiet with no problems with the furnishings. Wi-fi is also fine.
I stayed with a plan that included breakfast, but breakfast was not a typical buffet style, but a Japanese and Western meal at the restaurant, so I couldn't choose. For those who want to eat freely their preferred meal, it may be a little short.

Service by the hotel employees is not bad. However, the room and bathroom seriously need a revamp. The bathroom ceiling is mouldy and the bed is stiff. The aircon had a white noise and is much annoying when it is quiet at night.

Old but still functional hotel

Old hotel with a bit small and worn out rooms. Western style breakfast was also modest and bar opening hours irregular. Drink selection in the bar was very limited. On the other hand, service and friendliness of the staff was very good.

modern ryokan

I knew this was a historic hotel. I was expecting a traditional Japanese inn, complete with Tatami floor and futon for sleeping. The rooms were more like a dorm room - nice hard bed and hard pillow Japanese style. Compact sized everything, Japanese style, but all functionally designed and quite adequate. Lighting could have been a bit brighter in the room, and internet was a little unstable - but the hotel may not be as oriented towards business traveler? I wasn't there long enough to appreciate the garden or other hotel facilities, but this is clearly one of the top in town and a place for special events. For breakfast, one can choose Japanese or Western, but you can't mix and match to your own liking - but like all things in Japan, the system works very well when you fit into it.

Great location

A hitorical hotel in Kurume. the garden is wonderful and the chapel too. We had lunch at the restaurant and it was delicious, everything was perfect and elegant. To have tea or coffee sitting in front of the windows of the garden is just fantastic!
