Inn where you can feel the attention to detail

This inn has a Showa retro feel and you can feel its commitment. It has an old building feel, but it was well cleaned and the attention to detail was felt at important points. I was lucky to have the Japanese attachment of the work robe, not the yukata dadeke, and I had a nylon towel.
We had a dinner and a gorgeous breakfast which was so good that I couldn't believe the meal was also a risible price.
The front desk was also equipped with coffee that you can drink freely, and the attention to detail was wonderful.
I was worried that the tiles in the bath would slip a little. I thought it would be better to have a notice at the entrance saying "Please be careful as the floor will slip" for the safety of children and the elderly.
The staff is also accommodating and comfortable, and it is an inn that I would like to stay if I had another opportunity.

We really loved our stay. The building is old be very cozy and comfortable.
The staff were very helpful and welcoming. I would definitely return there.
If you plan to dine outside the hotel, make sure you book beforehand.

This was a great ryokan experience for us. The view from the room is spectacular, and the meals were sumptuous and delicious. Shorenkan was the hidden gem of our trip

A truly beautiful hotel! Everything from the architecture to the view outside the windows is top-notch. The staff are polite and welcoming, and even though we don't speak much Japanese, they patiently explain everything to us. The rooms are full of thoughtful touches, and there are plenty of complimentary drinks and amenities. If I ever come to visit Japan again, I'll definitely bring my family to stay here for longer. ありがとうございます♪

Goodness us…. PLEASE treat yourself and stay at least one night in this beautiful traditional hotel with its own onsen!
We had a superbly decorated very very very large traditional room (tatamis), a view of the little port and the sea of Japan with sunset….
And we discovered once there that one could book their private onsen!
Oh and yes, it’s ‘only’ a 100 years old family hotel….
Don’t forget to check their ‘souvenirs table’ of locally or Japan made goodies to take home.
The friendliness and discretion of the front desk people is exemplary.
This was part of the highlight of our holidays in Japan.
Thank you so much for offering such a beautiful hotel to us visiting tourists.
We wish you only the best for years to come!
