A Good Reasonable Kappa Ryokan in the west coast of Lake Kawaguchi-ko!!

This Ryokan is located at Nagahama, the west coast of Lake Kawaguchi-ko. It's a Kappa Ryokan and thus its Japanese cuisines, such as Horse Sashimi, are great!! It takes @20 min by car from the Kawaguchiko station, but if you call them in advance the owner comes to pick you up at the station. The Ryokan is in front of the Nagahama bus stop of the Retro Bus Green Line, so you can take the bus to see the Lake Saiko and Wind Cave, etc. This is a nice quite Ryokan, and you can enjoy their good meal and Onsen bath!!

The owner of a Japanese-only hotel is basically only Japanese. But this is a real Japanese country hotel, quiet at night, right by Lake Kawaguchi. The hotel has free bicycles. It's great to see Mt.

Great place to reach Mount Fuji

Our Japanese friends organised this family oriented Ryokan. It was a great experience of traditional Japanese food ( we had something like a 12 course meal) which was very good value and included some things like sashimi horse and a horse casserole type dish, which we had never tried as well as the expected Japanese foods like sushi and sashimi.
Overall it was good value, except that the person accepting payment had difficulty with operating the credit card machine, so we opted to pay cash instead, which was not really a problem until we arrived back in Australia and found out that the credit card had been transacted four times! We are still seeking reimbursement....
The accommodation was great for the family, sleeping on mattresses on the floor in a traditional Japanese room.
From here we could easily drive to Mount Fuji at 3.30am to begin our gradual and successful ascent to the summit.

Authentic place to stay

The Rockanje in this small village naar Kwawaguchigo, at the botten of Mount Fuji is a fantastisch place tp stay. The ownership do everything to make you feel comfortabele. The room was in authentic Japanes style, sober, zen and balanced. Nottingham for joy seekers but for loves of Japan and the enviroment.
The food is home made by the ownership, more frech is not possible, the tast dilicious.
In the house is a traditional hot spring, one for woman and one for men.
Very friendly owners and very helpfull. If you do not like a busy city but rest ans a beautiful view, this is the .place. It is bear lake kawaguchico and surroundgeluid by many green mountains. You can see Mount Fuji, when the mist is gone .

河口湖畔に位置し、歴史感じる内装。又、夕食のボリュームは比較的多く、食べ応えアリ！建物は大きいが、浴室が小さいのが不思議です！河口湖周辺訪れの際には是非訪ねてみて下さい！
