Great place. Comfortable and large rooms (especially the triple shares, but also the twin shares).

Great place - a little out of town (like 8 min bike ride). Comfortable and large rooms - particularly the triple share. Would love to see a couple of small improvements - (a) kettle and cups and tea bags/coffee satchets jn rooms; (b) two pillows per bed (or a couple in the cupboard); (c) plastic cup in bathroom; (d) hanging space or hooks for towels; wet clothes etc.

Not the most convenient of locations

This is a hostel, and therefore facilities are more basic than that of a hotel eg our room was not cleaned on the second day of our stay, although we did have a sea view room with private bathroom. The one important consideration about staying here is its location. It is situated on Mukaishima Island (向島) which is a ten minute ferry ride from the town of Onomichi. It then requires a taxi ride from the ferry port to get to the hostel. The route there goes through a neighbourhood of shipyards, away from shops and restaurants - which means taxi rides again if you wish to go out to eat once you arrive at the hostel. For travellers relying on public transport, this is really quite out of the way. The hostel staff readily agrees to book taxis for guests, but one does feel quite cut off.

穴場的な宿でした。尾道水道を行き交う船を眺めてのんびりリラックス。最高の時間を過ごすことができました。
