Fantastic stay on Osaka

This stay was truly perfect!
The location of the hotel is great—Dotonbori, three shopping malls, and both the metro and train stations are just a couple of steps away. Plus, all the main sights are within a 15-minute metro ride.
The rooms are very comfortable and clean. Thank you to the cleaning team for making our room look and feel perfect and renewed every day.
The hotel amenities are also excellent. We dined at both on-site restaurants—the Teppanyaki and the Japanese restaurant—and every time the food was delicious, of perfect quality, and the service was very friendly and attentive. Many thanks to the staff at both restaurants.
We would also like to highly commend the Concierge team, and especially Mounir. Their help in getting around the city, booking restaurants and taxis was invaluable.Our sincere gratitude to all the hotel personnel. You made our holiday perfect!

Beautifully located in downtown Osaka

When we booked this hotel we just wanted to be closer to Dotonbori street; however, we didn’t realize that it is actually right above Namba Station and all you need is to take the elevator down to the train station. It is simply super convenient. After we walked into the room, the Osaka city skyline was right in front of us. It is simply breathtaking. The room is average size but have everything we need. There are 4 restaurants within the hotel which is very convenient. In effect we spent our last dinner in Japan at the top floor Table 36 ( see my separate review for the restaurant). The staffs from the hotel are very friendly and offer helpful guidance as you request. This is a great hotel in Osaka I would highly recommend.

Our Second Pleasant Stay

Six years ago we had stayed at the Swissotel for the first time... As the hotel ("towering" above Namba Station) can be reached so easily from KIX by Nankai Limited Express train, gives direct access to several metro lines underneath the station, to the huge Takashimaya Osaka Store and a lot of shops and restaurants we decided to stay there again and booked a Swiss Select room with two queens in one of the upper floors. We enjoyed the panoramic view across the city (Dotonbori direction). Both room and bathroom seem to have undergone some refurbishment. Comfortable beds, pleasant linen, a rain shower... The unpretentious luxury character has been maintained.
The top floor restaurant with the wonderful bar also had some new features - in 2019 there had been no "herb garden" in the entrance area, and the menu had also been adapted to the latest "food style". The quality of their Whiskey Sour is still the same, and if the Haka Heat cocktail is still on the list when you're there give it a try. Saturday and Sunday are for lovers of live music - like me...
The staff was friendly and most helpful when ordering next-day Yamato suitcase transport service. We would come back to the Swissotel any time...

Osaka Trip

Stayed at Swissotel for two nights. The hotel location is perfect, close to everything. However rooms are old and dated particularly washroom which is very small and not particularly inviting. However, it is an older hotel. Staff was very good. Breakfast also good.
