The very best!!!!

Top quality, service like for royalty, situated among lovely mountains, at the bay. Pretty much can “touch” the ocean theough the window.
What a pleasant surprise!!!!
The drive here has tremendous scenery - but do it during daylight only!!!

I experienced the Cue cuisine.

On my way home from my parents' house in Kumano, I said, "Que food is delicious!" Thank you for watching the post saying, "I'm sorry. The first appearance is not very good and it is a small old inn. The inn was renovated and the rooms were nice and clean. The staff was also able to spend time pleasantly and amiably. The bathroom is not very large, but you may want to use it when it is available due to the number of rooms. We tried the word-of-mouth Que dish, but it didn't suit us and our wife who had imagined the protein taste on our own. For those who like it, it must be delicious and irresistible. The breakfast was also deliciously seasoned, and I especially liked the variety of dried bite-fried fish. If I had the chance again, I would like to be looked after.

Peaceful and restful respite

We had a nice large corner room en-suite bathroom on the 3rd floor. The bedroom has large windows and faces a secluded Bay. It is so scenic at different times of the day. The indoor onsen has an open view to the whole Bay. Dinner and breakfast, both exceeded expectation in terms of both variety and quality. The host, his Wife and mum procided exceptional service. One snag, it is quite a way off the beaten track from Owase city/town area but well worthwhile if you have a car.

A true gem! Highly recommend! Great harbor view and food

This was one of the best places we've ever stayed in Japan (and there have been plenty). Ask for a room with an indoor 'balcony' looking over the tranquil harbour. They are large and spotlessly clean, recently renovated with modern sink, shower and toilet. The food was top notch and there was plenty of it. We ordered one regular meal set plus the special "kway" (grouper) set, which came both in sashimi style and cooked in at least 3-4 other ways (including terriyaki cod style, tempura and braised like a short rib!!!).
The main bath offers a wonderful soak and view across the water. They alternate usage times between men and women so everyone can enjoy it (get there before sundown). There is a smaller, very utilitarian one that is a bit of a letdown after the main bath.
The owner is charming and her staff offer impeccable service. Breakfast was above average, with more harbor views. One minor thing,wifi is a bit patchy.
We would highly recommend this one if you are in the area!

10 stars - beyond excellent

I stayed two nights in this hotel in April 2015 as part of a self planned cycling trip. I would certainly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone travelling through or wanting to walk the kumano kodo.
It has the feeling of a well-maintained and loved family hotel with personal service and dedicated staff. The owner, Okami-san, is an enigma of a lady whose passion for running the hotel perfectly and taking care of her guests is like nothing I have seen before.
- Amazing service. When i walked in they had a collection of sheets prepared in English to advise on the hotel and make selections (eg for dinner times). The owner drives each guest to and from the stations (whether Aiga, Owase or Kata) to walk their desired part of the kumano kodo and gives helpful information on the way. She even assisted in finding and booking my next accommodation (in Kiinagashima) at a great rate.
- Rooms with a view. See my pic... all rooms will have that view, as will the bath! Spotlessly clean Japanese-style roomsl
- Wifi in lobby
- great fresh seafood dinner as part of the plan
- great bath to soak in after a long walk
- can takkyubin luggage to/from hotel
- for value, nothing better (I booked on the Japanese Rakuten site using google translate and the hotels address to sign up)
