Old but gentle inn

The staff are very polite. The inn was also very good because it was old but clean. Of course, the food was delicious.

Anyway it's the best!

We stayed at the newly built 2023 Bettei Sakura, a semi-open-air detached house, for two nights over the New Year holidays.
The room was spacious and had a semi-open-air bath, so we could enjoy it leisurely 24 hours a day.
The food was just the best! That's all I can say.
It was really delicious.
And above all, I was impressed by the staff's attention to detail.
As the name "Sakura" suggests,
there are cherry blossom trees in the garden of the guest room.
In spring, you can enjoy a truly beautiful view.
In any case, it was perfect in every way.

Excellent service in a lovely modern ryokan

Modern-styled ryokan located in Tamana, near Kumamoto. The setting is lovely, with a low building situated beside a beautifully manicured garden on a slope, that is nice to walk in in the evening or morning. Service is exceptional, with kaiseki-style dinner served in-room. Breakfast is served in a common room, however. The onsen water is quite hot (around 56 degrees Celsius), but the onsen setting itself is pleasant. Very good value for what we paid, and highly recommended.
Note that the ryokan has an electric vehicle charging point at the entrance, which is a definite bonus.

日本庭園を愛でるお宿

二階建てで十数室の小さなお宿でした。夕食は客室で、朝食は大広間でいただきます。施設は少し古い感じはしますが、掃除が行き届いており気持ちよく泊まれました。低反発の枕も軽い布団も寝心地が良かったです。一番よかったのはどの部屋からも眺められる大きな庭です。小さな滝があって滝つぼ（？）のあたりに鯉が集まっているのが面白かったです。桜がきれいに咲ていました。ツツジが咲くころもきれいそうです。夜はライトアップされます。いろんな色の光が当てられますが、切り替わりが早くてせわしなく感じました、お部屋係さんが「室内灯を消すとまた違う雰囲気を楽しめますよ」と教えてくれました。電気を消して椅子に座り、室内なので虫も入ってこず、お酒を飲みながらライトアップを楽しみました。食事も程よい量で、魚料理が特に美味しかったです。それと朝の味噌汁も良かったです。温泉はラドンで、私は長湯をすると気分が悪くなることがあるので、3分ぐらいしか浸かりません。それでも湯から上がった後、ずっと身体がポカポカしてました。フロントもお部屋係もフレンドリーでした。Ｗｉ－Ｆｉサクサク。ミネラルウォータープレゼントはないですが、冷水はポットに用意されています。近かったら再訪したいお宿です。

ここの温泉が気に入って、今回2回目の宿泊です。
夜の食事は部屋食で、和食のコース料理で、地元の食材を取り入れられていて、量も丁度良くご飯も美味しかった。
朝は朝食会場に行ってたべました。
ごじるや、一口位のおかずが沢山あり、多いかなと思いましたが、全部食べました。
とても美味しかった。
