Hotel staff were really helpful and nice attitude during my stay. Hotel is really close to Ueno station and you want to head towards the signs for the Iriya exit, really well connected station to get you to most of the main Tokyo areas. Plenty eating and shopping options close to the hotel.
Reception area of the hotel is nice and welcoming with the lifts really close to the entrance. The room was well maintained and typical Tokyo size which I expected so the suitcase had to be stored under the bed to give you space when you're in the room. The bathroom is decent enough size though with a big deep tub, it's not so tight in the bathroom like some other hotels where the toilet is practically joined to the bath.
Cleaning is every 3 days which I like, less disruption to the room when you're out. You leave out the used towels and rubbish bag when you leave the room every day and they'll hang fresh towels, water, and bin bag on the door for when you return later. As mentioned, I like this and reception will help you with anyway in between anyway.
Would I stay again, yes, things that could be better though:
-No safe in the room was a surprise
-Would be lovely to be able to cast or stream on the tv, it's nice to watch your own shows for an hour in the room having been out all day
-Some extra shelf room in the bathroom, the existing shelf is a narrow so soon fills up with your toiletries
-A few extra hangers, only 4 in the room

Loved this space! The staff were always friendly upon exiting or returning to the hotel, even with the language barrier. This hotel has a perfect location, right next to Ueno station and Ueno Park. Many konbinis available nearby as well. They had a vending machine in the lobby too, just tucked back a bit. Also, so many freebies! From Tokyo Soup stock to face masks, they had everything you may need. Leave the toiletries at home! Great quality shower soaps. The AC worked well, the pillows were comfortable, there was strong water pressure in the shower. I only wish they had rooms with space for three people so I could stay with my family in one room upon our next visit!

Tiny room

I would rate it lower but the location was great for us. And if course the efficient, friendly service common in Japan. Room was super tiny, no closet/storage space at $185 a night. No breakfast but they have powdered soups, beverages, and pastry available at the reception desk. Wendy's is close by, so was a small Chinese restaurant ( great food). Sunroute Hotel two blocks away has a restaurant serving buffet breakfast for $12 to $15 USD, depending on the exchange rate.

Not Worth the Price – Cleanliness and Space Issues

Our final leg of a three-week trip was unfortunately spent in what turned out to be the worst hotel of our entire journey. For a five-night stay, it was extremely overpriced for what was offered.
The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location—it is conveniently situated very close to the train station, which made getting around easy. However, beyond that, the experience was disappointing.
The room was exceptionally small, even by Japan standards. The bed was pushed up against the window, making it very difficult to get in and out—you actually have to climb over the bed, which is both inconvenient and impractical. There was barely enough space to open our luggage, and moving around the room felt cramped and uncomfortable.
Cleanliness was also a major issue. Due to the lack of regular housekeeping, the room quickly became dirty during our stay. The hotel does not provide daily cleaning, citing “environmental reasons,” unless you are willing to pay an additional fee. Instead, guests are expected to place their rubbish and used towels outside their door each day for collection.
Having travelled extensively for over 40 years, I have never encountered such a system in a hotel, particularly at this price point. It felt more like a budget arrangement despite the premium cost.
Overall, this hotel did not meet expectations in terms of comfort, cleanliness, or value for money. I would not recommend staying here unless location is your only priority.

I regret my disappointment as soon as I arrived because the cherry blossom season issue raised the price so much that I couldn't cancel my choice. It was a perfect rip-off fee, so it was a stupid choice considering that the next 24 hours and 700 yen will be placed in the candidate site
