Mimaru just became my favorite place to stay in Tokyo
Our family visited Tokyo in July and stayed at the Mimaru Tokyo Kinshicho for three night. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, and they were extremely helpful with many wonderful recommendations. We will definitely stay here in the future, and we can’t wait to stay in other Minaru properties hoping to receive the same quality of service. I want to share something species that happen while staying here. One day I told them that I could buy yogurt from the store because everything was in Japanese and could find the right product. A few minutes later one of the employees knock on my door to bring me a yogurt. That is the type of service they provide in many differs ways. We sincerely enjoyed our stay here and feel bad that we couldn’t stay longer.

Excellent location! The hotel is close to food and train station. We were able to navigate through all the cities in Tokyo.

we stayed twice in our 2 week trip to Japan... at the beginning and at the end.
We had a room with 4 twin beds, for our family of 4 (parents and 2 grown children)
There was plenty of room. separate toilet from shower room. which help with the number of adults.
there was a table and seating area by the tv, and a small kitchenette area.
The staff were extremely helpful. They helped me with tools and suggestions when one piece of my luggage broke.
The reception staff were very nice and always greeted us when we returned from a day out.

Staff were friendly and great assistance for the restaurant reservation. Great place and convenient to nearby station and shopping.

Great stay with good service, definitely recommend
We have been to a Mimaru before, so we had high hopes. Those were not in vain. The staff at Mimaru Kinshicho are so kind and helpful. They are an international bunch of youngsters that speak many languages very well, like Khloe. Our holiday didn't get to start off right when the airline had all our luggage delayed for 2 days. Luckily Mimaru provides some amenities and we gave us tips on where to do our shopping. Especially Yadav who always asked about our day and spent time to book us a hairdresser and headspa. He also made sure the beds in the tatami area were made softer (Japanese mattrasses are very firm and they have small pillows). We felt that the kindness was very sincere when he waved us goodbye at departure, so sweet. Kai also helped us get a late check-out as we would have a long day because of our night flight. Thank you!
Really hope Mimaru will open more hotels in other cities as well, we would definitely stay there. The location in Kinshicho was good, very close to the train and metro station, lot of places to eat and malls nearby, even a 24h supermarket. As Tokyo is so big, depending on your itinirary, you will have to travel a lot. There are some Mimaru branches closer to the city centre, but also more espensive.
We had the Japanese apartment. As it is much bigger than most hotels in Tokyo, it would still feel a bit cramped whey you're not used to it. As we stayed with 2 teenagers, we did sometimes feel like we needed a bit more space as it was tight to fit 4 suitcases, trolleys, bags and other stuff. The staff was very kind to provide us a quiet room on a higher floor as I was a bit worried because of some previous reviews about the noise. I did use earplugs though (light sleeper). There was a balcony, but we couldn't use it. The closets were big, but needed some planks, you only have hanging space. Mimaru can provide more clothes hangers if you'd like. I did miss some extra hooks for towels. If 2 people sleep in the tatami area, than you would have no space to walk anymore, as there is also a heavy low table, but it was fine for us to put some stuff on. Most nights we were too tired from walking so all we did in the room was sleep.
Note: after 10pm there is no reception, only a night guard, so make sure to speak to them on time if you need any help with planning stuff. The location has washing machines and dryers, so that was helpful. If you have kids, there are some games at the lobby and they can advice or provide workshops.
The room is very clean, housekeeping is doing their job well, not soundproof and there are no darkening shades. You'll get clean towels every day and clean sheets every 2 days. They can provide free toiletries (slippers and pyamas also), the bathroom sink has little space for a family of 4, but is fine for a short while. The kitchenette is very helpful for breakfast. There is luggage forwarding service if you need that. We booked a private car.
