Shio Onsen

Hotel in Misato Town. I used it for a day trip bath. Bathing fee is 1,200 yen. The price is high, but it is reasonable to include the rest area before and after bathing, and you can drink all you want in the rest area. There are indoor and outdoor baths, both of which have warm circulating chlorine and a little chlorine smell. It is an earth-colored hot spring with deposits at its mouth. The rest space is great.

施設・お湯とも良質。料理は期待できない。

旅行支援で宿泊。施設は新し発想で設計されており狭いながらも快適。このオープン当初のコンセプトをこのまま今後も維持してもらいたい。ロビーに入るなりアロマの香り。これは客室のみならず、館内いたるところで香る。建物は最近流行のコンクリートの打ちっぱなしと鉄骨・木材を組みわせたデザイン。館内はバリアフリーで移動も楽。立地は江の川とこれと並行して走る国道の傍だが、いかんせん中国山地の奥地だから通行量も少なく騒音もない。砂原ダムのため、ホテル付近の江の川は湖のようになっており風情がある。夜は真っ暗で天の川を久しぶりに見た。特筆すべきは温泉の質。弱アルカリ性なのか、肌がつやつやになる。温度は低めに設定してありゆったり長めの入浴が可能。施設が新しいだけに仕切りのある洗い場・温度表示のある浴室・ゆったりとくつろげる湯上り室（コーヒーなどソフトドリンク・アイスキャンディーが無料！）と申し分ない。スタンダードの客室を選んだため、狭いが必要な設備はコンパクトに収まり連泊をしなければ問題ない。江の川側のテラスにテーブルとイスをセッティングしてゆっくりくつろげる。期待していた食事は残念な結果。イタリアンレストランというふれこみだったが、料理を楽しむために泊まるというレベルでは全くない。もっとも、旅行支援で連日急に増えた大量の客（平日にもかかかわらず満室だった）に対応するため、作り置きのできるメニューにならざるを得なかったとは思うが・・。自慢の？地元産ワインはちょっと酷い。ホテル側もわかっているのか同じ価格設定で輸入ワインもそろえている。従業員は全くワインの説明ができない。これも旅行支援のためのアルバイト弊害か。
今回旅行支援で安価に宿泊・食事ができたが、今後定価でも宿泊はしてもいいかなとは思う。近くの粕淵の町には老舗料亭もあり、ここで夕食をしてこのホテルの湯につかるというプランを今から計画している。

きつねの温泉

廃線になった三江線に乗って行きました。　温泉はよい湯だと思います。
朝風呂に入ると、江の川からあがってくる霧の中を三江線のディーゼルカーがゆったりと走っているのが印象的でした。

のんびりリラックスできました

廃線前の三江線で立ち寄りました。入浴中にテレビ局の取材が入ってきましたが、泉質自体は良く列車の中で立ちっぱなしだったので疲れが癒されました。
