A haven of peace, hospitality and thoughtful care
My wife and I recently stayed at Ktima Bellou for two nights, and we can’t praise the experience enough. Creating a salubrious environment and atmosphere is a subtle undertaking, involving the arrangement of space, the placement of beautiful objects, the fulfilment of human needs and, above all, the feeling you get from the proprietors and staff. Ktima Bellou has provided for all these things with consummate care, resulting in a haven of peace and simple enjoyment.
Our flight to Thessaloniki was delayed, which meant that we arrived at Ktima Bellou close to midnight. Our caring hosts, Afroditi and Konstantinos, waited up late for us and ensured that food was waiting to be served in our room, as we had missed dinner. We immediately felt a sense of peace and hospitality when we arrived and fell in love with the space and our room. Everything is beautifully appointed, rustic without pretence, and full of charming antiques and other homely objects, tastefully situated.
While our stay was short, we made the most of the space and surroundings, which did wonders for our sense of wellbeing. A special mention is required for the food, especially the evening meals, which are creative, surprising and delicious. We are used to cuisine in more southern parts of Greece being good but a little samey, so it was a delight to experience this carefully created menu, supplied with local ingredients.
I could say much more, but I will close this review with a heartfelt thank you to Afroditi and Konstantinos, and to the rest of the team, for creating such a beautiful guesthouse. And a special thank you for arranging for my forgotten jacket to be reunited with me in Thessaloniki via your friend – you truly went the extra mile!

Mt. Olympus Sanctuary
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ktima Bellou. The surroundings are lovely and peaceful. The gardens at the hotel were just beginning to produce their delicious offerings, which added to the specialness of the food served every morning and for our evening dinners. The dishes were made with care and creativity and paired with unique local wines. Staff throughout the hotel were kind and helpful.
We wish them continued success. With their work ethic and amazing location and attention to detail, they should have no problem.

Hidden Gem
We joined this place for our dinner and the experience was truly magical. The ingredients of the food are so high in quality and extremely flavourful. The ambience is super cozy, with rustic elements and fireplaces all over. The politeness and hospitality were on another level. We loved hearing the stories of the adorable owner. We will definetely come back for a stay

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this charming, family-run and very comfortable country hotel and I feel embarrassed that it has taken me several months to write a review. The hospitality and food were heart-warmingly good. (My son would highly recommend the braised beef and celeriac dish - he had it every night!) They family celebrate the best of local ingredients and we enjoyed trying the different olive oils they champion. It is a quiet area away from the more touristy scene, but very pretty. There was late snow so the view of Mount Olympus was extra stunning, but it meant we couldn’t try the pool or the outdoor seating areas. They are doubtless lovely in the warmer months.
