For a successful holiday

A very nice Pension removed from the center of Matala less than 10 minutes walk. Quiet and relaxing, air conditioning in all rooms, very nice swimming pool and deckchairs available. Continental breakfast included and very well provided. Georges, the housemaster is at first glance surprising, but very nice and good advice. Rooms are made every day. A very good address that I recommend.

Room and bathroom to be totally reviewed

From outside this hotel looks good, the common areas are new and well maintained: large reception, friendly staff, well maintained garden, large swimming pool at the back of the structure. Breakfast is varied and quality, served with all the necessary hygiene rules. My review however cannot be positive because our room and bathroom are tiny, old, and not properly maintained. Dust under the bed, one of the sheets was shorter than the bed, towels certainly not white; the bathroom really tiny, without countertops, and released a nasty musty smell, despite the presence of a window. I point out the danger of the pool, because, although new, the staircase to enter is covered with slippery tiles: I fell and sustained bruises and bruises on my ankles and knees, which are affecting the continuation of our journey. It is true that this is a budget hotel, but going below certain standards of cleanliness and safety is not good. We stayed only two days because then our journey had to continue. I had promised myself to talk to the owner about these negative aspects, but at checkout he was absent because he had rushed out after an animated argument with an employee, and I could not wait.

To flee

If you wish to end the night in hospital especially do not hesitate!!
The hotel provides complimentary bottled water in the fridge especially check well before the contents
Women use the same bottles as they fill with products of various and varied maintenance and we have paid the price!!! My 16-year-old daughter spent 12 hours on IV at Heraklion Hospital.
The hotel denied any responsibility and of course no refund
The boss even accused my daughter of filling the bottle herself!

Pleasant, simple hitel

A bit away from the hustle and bustle a pleasant rather smaller hotel. From here it is about 600 m to the beach and about 800 m bus to the village. Hotel has private parking, a nice pool and offers breakfast. The hotel is clean and the staff are very helpful. The clairvoyance was disturbing - there is no sound insulation. What I didn't like here: the cafe in the morning was creepy. Taking tea solves the problem, however, the location on the edge of the place is a big advantage - in some pub or bar there is always live music in the dirf, gladly until 2 am....
Recommended hotel.

Spartan Hotel Passage

A hotel located 10 minutes from the matala beach in a quiet location.
Very summary room air-conditioned and spacious. The rest is “in its juice” with a radio still on the wall (which no longer works) and poorly fitted bedroom doors which makes everyone hear outside.
The pool is large and pleasant.
Welcoming is not the warmest with a perfectible command of English.
