Could be First Class, with some maintenance and less clutter
These apartments consist of about 10 very nicely decorated apartments a few minutes walk away from the local town and beach. The town has plenty of tavernas, restaurants, mini markets and other shops. The pizzeria is highly recommended.
We were meet by a charming Greek lady who spoke limited English. She did her best to show us every thing. It was apparent if we needed to know more we could call the owners who run a hotel about 100km away. The cleaner and gardener visit daily, but otherwise no one is on site.
The gardens are very pretty and consist of four small pools, you are allocated one, during our stay we had one to ourselves. Good sun beds, parasols, zero gravity loungers, hammocks, BBQ area. Gardener does an excellent job. This area is very well kept and equipped I thought it was brilliant, everything you could want for.
Car parking is out the front or by the side of the complex, no problems during our stay.
The apartment consists of large main room which included the kitchenette, a balcony and bathroom. The kitchen very well equipped, full size cooker with oven and 4 rings, sandwich maker, fridge freezer, two coffee machines, cups, cutlery, plates, cooking utensils, pots and pans, and plenty of storage space. We liked the kitchen it is much better than most kitchenettes.
I hope the owners read this next sentence. More is less! The whole apartment is far too cluttered. The first thing we found was that the very large tall built in cupboards were full of bedding including a folded mattress that prevented us from using the hangers. We passed this to the lady for storeage elsewhere. The second thing we moved was a large end of bed bench, otherwise it meant that we had to walk almost sideways to get to the bathroom. This we put this behind the settee. We counted a total of 13 seats, excluding the end of bed bench. Four chairs on the balcony, a further four dining table chairs, a settee for two and another three chairs. This apartment is for two! I think the settee might double up as a single bed, but with that extended the room would be even fuller. There was no obvious space to store suitcases although we put these behind the settee. There was a foldable suitcase bench, behind one of the chairs, but no obvious place where you could put this. Plenty of good draw space. Lighting, I think I counted 10 lights, but the room is still too dark. Bedside lights are not bright enough to read by. The apartment comes with a safe, but it is not secured to anything, so it is insecure, it was once screwed to something but no longer. TV only has Greek channels. Air conditioning and heating is provided we didn’t need either. Bed a bit soft but overall very good. Cleaning daily by a very pleasant and helpful lady who kept the place immaculately clean.
Bathroom not as good as we expected. The photos slow a very modern radio multi jet shower unit. It is there, but none of the features work; not the lights, not the over head shower head, not the multi jets, not the radio. All that worked was the hand held shower head, but it had nowhere to hang it for hands free showering. Additionally the shower base had a crack, so water seeped under the unit into the bathroom. Somewhat disconcertingly it creaked every time I moved. Hot water was good once we realised we had to switch it on for 10 mins at the fuse board on cloudy days. There are plenty of toiletries, including sewing kit , slippers and dressing gowns, which is a nice touch. The basin plug is operated by a release lever behind the tap, it didn’t work, on closer inspection I found that it was not connected. The bathroom included a washing machine which we used, unfortunately no instructions and the on machine directions were in Greek. I managed to use a photo and an online translator to get an English translation. Photo enclosed. The bathroom lighting is too weak.
These apartments are so well equipped you could live in them for an extended period of time. Overall we liked our stay, we think with a little more thought, maintenance and less clutter the apartments could be first class. We still recommend these apartments.

Pleasant stay.
Everything was very beautiful and well-kept. We were welcomed by Mrs. Jenny, looked after us and I felt like I was at home. Clean apartments and everything was perfect. Very well equipped and this made our daily life easy with three children. The only thing that saddened me was that while all the apartments were empty and I had begged them several times by phone to give me a spacious apartment because there were 5 of us, they gave me the most economical one on a floor even though I told them that I have a stroller and a baby. This was really very sad. To suffer for so many days in a small space while everything was empty and I begged them by phone and they didn't do it.

An Absolute Gem In Plataria
So this is the place we stayed at just 10 minutes from Igmounitsa port. We are staying for 3 days but wish we had longer but it’s on to Athens (and patisia) tomorrow. I saw this place at the beginning of the year whe I started planning and it was still available when we booked at the beginning of October and as far as I’m aware is open all year round. We paid £130 but upgraded when we got here to a lovely studio for and extra €20 per night.
The owners came on Sunday and were very gracious and Giorgos the gardener/maintenance guy was very nice and extremely helpful. He is here all the time as the owners live an hour away. Each set of studios has their own pool and I just can’t say enough about the place. The locals are friendly, the tavernas are plentiful and excellent with both food and prices and there’s a lovely beach which our dog loved
