Truly outstanding resort

Wow wow wow. Absolutely breathtaking resort. Nestled in a cove just 15 mins from the airport this place is paradise!!! From the moment you arrive you are treated with so much care. Welcome drinks, baggage taken care of and a buggy ride to your bungalow with beautiful sea views and welcome gifts. The rooms are spotless with daily linen changes. Gifts left in the adorable beach bag outside your door. I won't spoil the surprises by saying what they are! We travelled for a special anniversary and our room was decorated and champagne on ice with chocolates waiting for our arrival. Just so perfect!! The restaurants are amazing and good value too. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING! The pool area is so luxurious and the private beach is stunning with bar service to your fabulous sun loungers. TOP TIP bring swimming shoes/beach shoes, it's a bit stoney underfoot but not a problem with some rubber soles water shoes and snorkels, there are so many beautiful fishes to see in the crystal clear water. Little resort buggies are available to take you around the resort if you don't want to exersice those legs muscles.
I can't recommend this place enough. Truly stunning.
If you want to get out and about you can book a fixed rate taxi €8 to the delightful fishing village of Pythagorio, where you'll find a charming harbour and delightful gift shops, bars and restaurants. We will definitely be back!

A Truly Exceptional Stay in Samos

A wonderful hotel with a beautifully maintained garden, an excellent location, and breathtaking views of the sea and the Turkish coastline. The atmosphere throughout the resort feels elegant, relaxing, and truly luxurious.
The sunbeds, both on the beach and by the pool, were extremely comfortable. Breakfasts were absolutely delicious, with excellent quality and a great variety every morning. The staff were exceptionally kind, helpful, and highly professional at all times — whether in the restaurants, at the beach, by the pool, or throughout the resort. You can truly feel the luxury approach to guests everywhere, and that deserves a special extra star.
Special thanks to Leah — her recommendations for exploring the island were incredibly helpful. The map with all the marked places became absolutely essential for our trip, and without her guidance we would never have discovered some of the best spots on Samos.
A special thank you also to Angeliki, who always welcomed us with a beautiful smile during breakfast and later at the beach bar served delicious coffees and drinks, always accompanied by a small sweet treat that made every moment even more enjoyable.
Many thanks as well to Iraklis for his exceptionally elegant and professional approach to guests. His style of hospitality truly stands out and creates a very special experience.
Special thanks also to Sophie, who gave us such a warm welcome upon arrival at the hotel. We also shared a memorable experience together while helping to rescue one of the cats living around the resort. Interestingly, almost half of the hotel guests became involved in helping, which beautifully showed the kindness and care people in Greece have not only for each other, but also for stray animals. It was a small but truly heartwarming moment of our stay.
We would also like to thank the charming young bartender at the beach bar who helped organize a birthday surprise on the beach for my friend — a truly memorable moment.
A warm thank you to the lady taking care of our bungalow room for her kindness, warm greetings every day, and even teaching us a few Greek words with great patience and positivity.
We also greatly appreciated the staff responsible for the internal buggy transportation around the resort — always available, always smiling, and always willing to help.
It is worth mentioning that the hotel is located on a hillside, so there are many stairs and slopes to walk. But after enjoying huge Greek meals and excellent wine in the tavernas around Pythagorio during our stay, we actually treated all those steps as a fun daily workout rather than a disadvantage. And for guests who prefer easier transportation, the buggy service around the resort is always a very convenient option.
Overall, Proteas Blu Resort is an outstanding hotel that offers luxury, professionalism, warmth, and unforgettable hospitality. We would gladly return.

Beautiful hillside resort near Pythagorion

Stayed here and loved the location, adults-only, secluded bay, with stunning views over the Aegean from pretty much everywhere on the property.
Only thing to know: it’s built on a hillside, so there are quite a few steps between rooms, pool, and beaches. The buggy service around the property is handy if you’d rather skip the walk.
Staff were warm and attentive throughout. A genuinely relaxing, well-run resort, would come back.

Summer break with friends

Weeks stay with friends, great service, friendly staff, very clean, extensive breakfast, fabulous view from the breakfast room, could do with their own shuttle bus to town centre just a bit too far to walk on a busy road

Honeymoon Dream

We had unforgettable moments at the hotel we chose for our honeymoon. Although we experienced some minor issues, Mrs. Magda contacted us before our honeymoon, offering support and arranging the room, and welcomed us with lovely gifts and surprises. Following this, Mr. Galanos took the time to personally attend to our minor issues, listening to our concerns and providing solutions that exceeded our expectations, making our honeymoon unforgettable. We thank them and their entire team.
For guests staying at the hotel, a definite recommendation is to visit the island's most unique restaurant, shaped like a ship, before leaving.
