Exceptional customer service
I’m visiting Antigua for a few days and went to Bay House to have breakfast with some of my family members. Our server Shanic was absolutely amazing. She was so polite and attentive. She also has a great sense of humor. Her service made the experience 10/10. The food was good also but Shanice’s good customer service out did the food !

Great views mixed experience
Overall Bay House is esthetically very nice, well decorated in waiting areas, amazing views. Salute to chef & crew for fantastic catered dinners & breakfast, beautiful table settings. Our retreat lead did great itinerary & fantastic activities. And then sometimes it's the little things that add up to impact the accommodation experience. I arrived a day early before rest for a group retreat and reserved double room online but on arrival this wasn't the case just one Full bed. Most times this means more space & most standard hotels abroad it means two separate beds! Nothing to do with number of people. I also chose an ocean view room great views.. I was also disappointed that there was 1. no Safe lock to store valuables, 2. NO refrigerator which was ridiculous, honestly. When I asked a manager or whomever at front desk, she said based on 'what I paid the class of my room, there would be no fridge? Like I was a peasant, while others had a fridge..Unlike most other standard hotels no fridge in room fridge to cool my own water, juice, soda any drink I purchased. To be told it was because of my room type was a bit laughable and no hotel worker should belittle a guest like this. Not having no idea of their background or how well traveled. Based on what I paid, even a suite type room even equivalent may be expected. Then to be told I can store water or food downstairs in common refrigerator or a fellow retreaters room? This was not a consolation & below my expectations.. Also uncomfortable & inconvenient not ideal situation considering what I paid. Then from a health & safety no drinks, food to be out of my sight & room then have to ASK to access it? I've traveled all over the world over even in Africa and USA and a small refrigerator found even moderate hotel rooms under $175, like my recent last minute Washington DC stays at boutique hotel near Whitehouse. Since no fridge glad I delayed restarting a medicine before this trip that needs refrigeration & is costly.
Also after a long flight my first night at Bayhouse to my incredible shock there was NO warm or hot water in either shower nor sink, even after letting run over 10+ minutes! And then 3. no Phone in room to ring assistance from front desk & safefty, then no microwave, again no safe box to secure passport other items, then no chest drawers/bureau in second room moved to - another inconvenience. Then to feel gas lit as I was told my switch to a new was to accommodate & benefit me, how? Didn't make sense as caused more of inconvenience, then new room had same view. But then lacked 4. No chest storage drawers for my/one's clothes storage made for a disorganized mess of a week of my clothes & things! Then 5. a strange thing in bathroom- toilet roll holder was in an elevated abnormal high position! So why switch my room to exact same type so another guest couple would be more accommodated but it had such odd features? Disappointing that my comfort & convenience of no concern. Then I had to wait over One 1 hour after returning from the beach, unable to shower or nap, wasting my time, pretty ridiculous! Also notable 6. No facial tissue box, no separate rubbish bin beside one in bathroom. Then an even a more strange situation & hazardous condition was the 6. shower and something I've never seen a hotel or villa bathroom with NO shower door or divider? No glass or poly plastic material to separate shower closet like, to prevent falls & water going all over tiles everywhere! Injury & hazard prevention should be a priority so a guess less likely to slip & fall then potentially break a bone -hip, back, or hit your face or head. Well known bathrooms most common place for injuries. So in 2026 for Bay house have no shower door, water all over, couldn't is believe this is possible to not take fall precautions serious. I had to create barrier with my beach towel & other towels for my own safety. 7. Another little thing they added some other room's bar tab to my bill, next door then only gave me a partial refund. When sitting on balcony the nextdoor guest 8. smoking cigarettes exposing me to second hand smoke when I requested Non smoking section. I had to ask them to stop due to my allergies. All of this was beyond upsetting and disappointing, I would pass on another stay here since traveled world wide five continents & guess am I spoiled. Or just that I shouldn't have to lower my hotel standards my first Grenada trip.

Fantastic view. Quite a drive up and the hill is unwalkable if you have any disabilities. A stretch to call it Grand Anse as a long way from the beach. The rooms were nicely decorated. Nice bathroom. No mesh on the sliding doors though. The pool was very small and needed cleaning. There were a lot of bugs (understandably it’s the tropics) but no bug lamps or coils or torches to keep them at bay. Had to move tables at dinner because it was so bad and tables had to be cleaned. We sprayed the hallway outside the room to clear them. No breakfast until 8am asked for any earlier to accommodate an early flight departure this became a whole drama.

It was absolutely beautiful. I’ve never left an island feeling this disappointed to leave. I even tried to rebook Bay House for December 2026, but it’s already sold out! I’ll keep checking because I will definitely be back.
The staff was incredibly kind, the food was excellent, and the shuttle service to and from the beach was such a great perk. And those views—simply breathtaking. I slept with the curtains open every night and spent hours relaxing on my balcony, taking it all in.
The art, architecture, and overall design of the hotel were stunning and added so much to the experience. Bay House is truly a place I would book again and again. If you’re considering a stay, this is a must-book.

At Friday and Saturday are there events with big noise till 11 PM. Position on hill is romantic but It is very hard to use car. Roads are very narow and step. Without car you have to stay all day on room or leave with shuttle 9.AM and be back with shuttle 3PM. Breakfat is continental with fructs.
