First stay in seven years
In that case, go to Nikko where I had stayed before. This year, it became the Westin Resort, which is my home. From my first visit to Guam (2012), the Westin is all the same. But you're used to it. I feel calm somehow.
The club lounge on the 21st floor used to be noisy because it was too small to handle, but now it's completely renovated and spacious, and quite relaxing. The food is just a snack, but it's just as good at cocktail time.
Island time is the norm, so as in the past, you never know when the room cleaning time will be, and the number of towels etc. is about the same.
You may want to leave a message. Japanese is almost incomprehensible, but since it is in the United States, it is also essential in broken English
Let's take it for granted.
If you are a child out of Japan, we recommend another hotel.
I visited Guam at the same time as last year (April), so there are few tourists, but at peak, there are many Koreans and the worst (no manners) situation when eating at the restaurant.
Word-of-mouth will be evaluated differently depending on the individual feeling, so it is better to use it as a reference. It is also easy to appreciate the bad points, but you need to think about the whole of how you spent your stay.
We're a couple in our 60s and 50s, and we've been to Guam dozens of times, but we like the Westin Resort, so it's a choice. It depends on your budget, but is it expensive? It's not always satisfying because it's a hotel.

Solid Hotel Stay
Entrance to the hotel is a little strange as it’s located in an intersection that goes straight into the resort. You then have to head right and go down a ramp to the lobby. We arrived late at night, so it was a little confusing for us upon arrival. We liked that parking was free and despite staying during the busy holiday period, there were plenty of parking spaces available.
The architecture of the hotel is also a bit unusual in that the restaurant and beach are several floors down. Unless you want the exercise of a lot of stairs, I highly recommend using the elevators to get to the pool/beach. I only went to the pool area to grab beach towels and found staff to be friendly and attentive. I noticed a lot of people were there, but it seemed like there were still enough chairs and spaces to accommodate everyone from what I could tell.
We also did laundry during our stay. There were several self service laundry stations that accept credit cards for payment, so you don’t need to bring or change for quarters. The washers also had built in detergent as well.
Lounge access is on the top floor. If you go right at the start of breakfast, it’s pretty empty, but can get super crowded later, especially during the afternoon service. For breakfast, selection was mostly cold items (cold cuts, salad bar, breads/pastries, fruit), but they did have a few hot items, such as scrambled eggs. The afternoon service varied, but had several more dishes, including local Guam specialties. I could see where you can easily have your dinner there. During busy times, the food goes fast. Staff are constantly trying to replenish everything. The lounge area is quite spacious, with various seating arrangements for couples and families and even more private conference room like areas.
In terms of location, the hotel is at the end of the main Tumon strip, but short walking distance to the luxury shopping center and restaurant, including the night market. I thought it was a good balance of being in a quieter location, yet still central.
Overall, I enjoyed my stay and had no major complaints. I think the hotel could use a bit of a refresher and I found some of the layout within the common areas to be a little strange and not very well thought through. Staff for the most part were all there and present. I would say everything met expectations, but not really exceed expectations.

This hotel turned our Typhoon Sinlaku experience into a very fun memory.
As part of the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, the resort delivers the level of consistency and quality I’ve come to expect from the brand. The benefits and recognition for Bonvoy members added extra value to the overall experience.
The location is excellent, right in Tumon with easy access to the beach, restaurants, and shopping. The beachfront setting really stands out—the views are relaxing, and the water is calm and clear.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The Westin Heavenly Bed lived up to its reputation and made for very restful sleep. Housekeeping was consistent and attentive throughout the stay.
Service was professional and courteous across the board. Staff were welcoming, responsive, and handled requests efficiently, which made the experience smooth and stress-free.
Amenities were solid, especially the pool area and direct beach access. It strikes a good balance between being family-friendly and still feeling calm and relaxing.
Overall, it’s a dependable, well-run resort that reflects the strengths of the Marriott Bonvoy brand. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient beachfront hotel with good service and reliable quality.
