Decent place
Plus point was that they have hot water available in the bathroom with no extra charges for that.

They said that was fine but what they didn't tell me they had no guests because of renovation.
I checked in and went toy room and started watching tv. 20 mins later the power went off and there was no one around at reception to ask about it
I had very little battery on my phone cause of a long journey so sat in the dark untill 9pm around 5 hours after being there. A guy came to my room and asked if I wanted the generator on. I said of course. He said he could only put it on for 45 mins
So I charged my phone and slept.
Next day there was still no power so decided to sleep more cause there was still no one at reception. I had been 5 times since I got there and no one was there. No one to call either
So at 3pm I left and went to another hotel but couldn't tell anyone cause no one was there.
They got hold of me at regency hotel and demanded I paid the 4 nights I booked. 14000 rupees
I refused to pay over the phone and said I would give them 1000 and that was being generous. A man came to my room and then demanded I paid for 2 nights 7000. I said this is unbelievable. There was no power and no service and I only stayed one night. So he said he would go and get the police. They came to my room and forced there way in assualting me in the process choking me and holding me on the ground. The hotel owner said I had to pay 15000. I said I didn't have that on me and said it's a joke I jave to pay anything cause of what happened so they took me to the police station where I had to pay the 15000 or go to court. The owner was bragging how he's a millionaire and didn't need my money. He was such a disgusting guy. The hotel I was in said no one ever works there for longer than 3 months cause he's so horrible. No one should ever stay at this hotel. It's over priced, not clean and the service is terrible. You can stay at regency or the grand hotel for cheaper and there are so much better. I've worked in hotels for 20 years and traveled all round asia and this was the worst experience I've had all cause of this terrible hotel. Being assaulted cause I wanted justice but realised that wasn't going to happen when I was at the police station so paid the horrible man his money

Excellent hotel, very new, exquisite decor & Furniture in room
the staff is very courteous for your need. The surprise was that you get North Indian dishes which I had not expected.
the view from the room specially the sunrise is breath-taking and also the city landscape in the night is excellent.
