Good , Safe & Located at best location - Hotel Karan Residency , Amritsar.
A comfortable, safe & convenient stay for family. Courteous Staff, Good Room Service and helpful nature of both manager & staff. Walking distance from Golden Temple & Main market. Serves both Veg & Non Veg food of Good Quality at reasonable price. The best part most of the requests were entertained with a YES !

Bad experience. Regret to doing the booking.
We had done advance booking and made the full payment ,after reading the reviews of this hotel. I had booked another hotel initially but the reviews of this hotel Karan residency was better comparatively so cancelled the previous hotel booking, but I experience of the hotel was nightmarish, become of one Mr Gurpreet Singh, who gave us a horrible experience ever. From the time we reached hotel,he was outrightly rude and discourteous . The language was so dis respectful that I regretted cancelling my previous hotel booking. I think the reviews are either fake or paid reviews jus to fool people.. One of the experience was so bad that I am wondering how are they running hospitality industry !!! On Sunday night, I ordered for dinner ,room service at 10 pm, the food didn't arrive till 10:45 pm. When I called at the reception, to enquire, thos same Mr Gurpreet says that "I assumed that you people would have slept so I did not send it upstairs"!!! I said,why would we go to off to sleep when we have ordered the food ? He said , when I called on the room,there was no response. I said there was no call made , he said that I jus assumed that I would have gone to sleep. By the time the food was delivered, it had turn out to b totally cold. There were many such experiences about his language,attitude and service!!!!
In my opinion , this Mr Gurpreet needs some serious hospitality lessons to deal with his guests.
I would not recommend this hotel unless the attitude improves and maintaining the respect of your guests is learnt.
The rooms are jus OKAY !!! The hotel doesn't have their own restaurant. If you need hot water for drinking in kettle, since it was very very cold there ,they did not provide it.
Please don't expect anything from this hotel. Only the cleaning staff,who are all ladies, did a good job in cleaning the room .

Wonderful and Courteous Staff
Stayed here for 4 days with family. Rooms were decent and clean. The best part about the stay here was it's courteous and helpful staff. Everyone was on their toes to make your stay enjoyable. They guided us about the places to visit and even helped us find erickshaw Or autos with reasonable prices so that being a tourist we are not over charged. They did everything they could to make everything easier for us. Golden Temple and it's market was walking distance. Location is really good. Thank you team for everything you all did.

Perfect !!!!!
Me and my family visited Amritsar for the first time. After research we homed in on Hotel Karan Residency for our one night stay. Glad we chose this property.
Pros:
----------
1. Walking distance (2-3 mins) from Golden Temple, Jalianwala Bagh and Golden Temple complex (It is a sprawling market with delicious food)
2. Clean Rooms
3. Neatly maintained Property
4. Warm Staff
We did not try in property food as we were spoilt for choices in Golden Temple Complex eateries. :-)

Perfect hotel for a stay
Stayed here for a week. Good food, ambience, location near to both railway station and golden temple. Cooperative staff, Great Hospitality.The lobby is quite spacious n well lite. The coridoors are having Air purifiers and very well maintained. Perfect hotel for a stay.
