Nice Hotel - But small rooms and limited options

The hotel is on the ridge and is being maintained neatly and nicely. Limited dinner options but is sufficient. Rooms are small. It was freezing cold at night., thanks to mr.shabbeer, the front desk manager., for arranging room heater in an ultra swift manner. Its one of the better options to stay for a short time at Gulmarg for a small family., Nice experience on a short stay

Scam alert

Extremely bad and disturbing experience at Hotel Alpine Ridge. Our stay on 31 January 2026 with a group of 8 friends turned into a pricing dispute that honestly felt like a scam attempt.
Before arriving, we called the hotel and clearly confirmed the rate as ₹17,000 per night for two rooms. Based on that quoted price, we agreed and checked in. But at checkout the next morning, the staff suddenly demanded ₹36,000 and denied the earlier quote. They insisted this was the “actual deal,” which was completely different from what we were told on the phone.
Thankfully, we had the call recording saved. Only after we presented proof did they stop pushing the higher amount. If we didn’t have that recording, we likely would have been forced to pay nearly double.
This kind of behavior — quoting one price and then trying to charge much more later — is deeply unprofessional and destroys trust. Guests should not have to argue or produce evidence just to pay the originally agreed rate.
I would not recommend this hotel. Get everything in writing if you ever deal with them — verbal quotes clearly cannot be trusted.

Worst hotel stay

Worst hotel stay. Below standard rooms not worth the cost. Property is not well maintained. Don't go with the images on website.
And to add further,
Some construction work is going in the vicinity of this hotel, whole night till 6am some drilling and hammering work was in process. Our sleep was totally disturbed. When contacted at reception of this noise, they said we cannot resolve this.

Not worth to spend money on.

Pathetic hotel to stay. No service no support to guests. Please don’t go by pictures on different portals or website. It is below average hotel than guesthouse. Front and back of hotel are messy you won’t feel like seat there for sometime. Food is not at all good. In terms of all drinks they have only one option kahwa that’s it. Overall not worth to spend money.
