A great Heritage property with excellent service, food and hospitality

This remarkable heritage property is over 350 years old, standing as a timeless testament to history. Meticulously preserved, it offers a fascinating glimpse into the past, filled with an incredible collection of antique treasures that captivate every visitor.
Thanks to Mr. Sanjay Laxman, our attentive property manager, we discovered some truly breathtaking spots just around the corner. He went above and beyond, thoughtfully crafting our itinerary and guiding us every step of the way.

Simple and serene village stay

Get away from it all......a quiet village stay in a well-made-up heritage home where you hear only bird calls and soothing devotional songs on PA for just an hour in the evenings from a nearby small temple
Delicious breakfast/lunch/dinner cooked by caretaker Balan's wife, sometimes at a short notice, in a clean kitchen
Both Balan and his wife are extremely warm, soft-spoken and highly responsive to any needs

Srivilas heritage pudunagaram palakkad

Srivilas homestay was an amazing property,it was well maintained, the caretaker and his wife made sure that we were comfortable and served us very good home cooked meals . The property is grand and has good amenities..will highly recommend.

Heritage setting with modern ameneties

Drove through paddy fields lined roads enroute to Srivilas. The place has a certain old world charm to it, the exterior feels jaded and nostalgic but the interior was very welcoming and equipped with all modern furnishings. The smell of sandalwood lingers in the air once entering the place. The corridor with its hanging chandelier really was amazing. The room itself was spacious and the furnitures lends an authentic heritage 'feels' to our whole stay. Rooms were very well maintained and the bathroom was clean. We were served home cooked dinner and breakfast by Balan (caretaker) and his wife. The food was really good and generous in portions. Overall an amazing place to stay.

Not able to stay - but great communication!

We couldn't get over to Palakkad in the end for your holiday in TN/Kerala - but I'd just like to say that Chatwin - was the best of all of our potential hosts - with rapid and kind replies - the house looks fab - next year - we hope!!
