Day 1 (4th April):
After reaching Hyderabad, I called the hotel and was informed that due to a “power issue,” rooms were not ready and my booking was cancelled. This was never communicated in advance. On top of that, the location mentioned in the confirmation email was incorrect, which led to us wasting significant money and time on cabs. After a long journey, we had no choice but to shift to my friend’s place in Madhapur.
Day 2 (5th April):
I reconfirmed my booking for 5th and 6th April and was assured everything was in place. However, when I reached the Indigo Hotel in the Masab Tank area at 3:30 PM, the staff bluntly said rooms were full and they couldn’t help—despite my confirmed booking.
Only after escalating and speaking to another staff member, Dattatreya, I was asked to wait for 30 minutes. Eventually, I was given a room at 5:30 PM.
Room & Service Issues:
The room had small cockroaches.
Breakfast was included in my booking, but the staff was unaware. There was no proper kitchen, and breakfast was arranged from roadside vendors in takeaway parcels.
The washroom was in poor condition—the commode lid broke while in use.
After complaining, we were shifted to another room where:
Shower cap was missing
Water flow was so forceful that it spilled outside the bathroom
We had to shift rooms multiple times, causing inconvenience and discomfort. Eventually, we were moved to a suite room, which was comparatively better.
Day 3 (6th April):
No breakfast was provided. Given the previous day’s experience, we chose not to depend on the hotel and went out to eat.
Final Thoughts:
This entire experience was exhausting, poorly managed, and highly disappointing. The only person who was helpful and responsive throughout was Dattatreya—the rest of the staff showed lack of accountability and coordination.
I would strongly not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable stay.
