Offering a spa centre and fitness centre, Tea Harvester, a boutique property, is located 1800 metres above sea level in Munnar in the Kerala Region. The resort has a barbecue and terrace, and guests can enjoy a meal at the restaurant.

Beautiful setting, a hotel with character.
This is a bit of a mixed review ; mainly positive but definitely some room for improvement.
The setting is wonderful - so tranquil and scenic. The building has loads of charm and character. The decor of the hotel is very tasteful and distinctive. The views across the tea plantations and hills are lovely.
We enjoyed sitting around the pool area with the sound of birds and wildlife surrounding us.
Our room was clean and comfortable, although the bathroom was a bit shabby and some things needed repairing. The fridge didn’t work. Hot water was sporadic and the WiFi was almost nonexistent.
The buffet meal in the evening was adequate, if a bit limited and repetitive. In our room there was a menu for the à la carte dinner - but when we asked, it was only the buffet that was available. Why did the rooms have a separate menu, then? The breakfast was pretty poor and very basic.
The staff are all friendly and pleasant. They offer some guided hiking trips and excursions, but we didn’t take these up.
All in all, this is a memorable hotel in a lovely setting which needs to invest money and improve some aspects of the experience which customers are paying for.

A really chilled experience with the most amazing food.
We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour and were genuinely sorry to leave. Our room was perfect with a powerful shower and comfortable bed. The bathroom fan probably needs a service as was noisy so we didn't switch it on. Great balcony overlooking the forest so we spent lots of time watching the birdlife. The surroundings are stunning. Would recommend asking for a tour of the tea plantation which was very informative. The staff were fun and couldn't do enough for us - especially Rajiv. Don't expect the service to be quick.. it's all very chilled and makes for a very relaxing time. Lovely little pool (not heated) so perfect for a cool down after a long journey. The highlight was the food which was incredible and the portions were huge!!

Lovely hotel in beautiful surroundings
We had a wonderful stay here. Quiet, relaxing, beautiful scenery.
Our room and bathroom were spotlessly clean.
Food was absolutely delicious.
All staff were friendly and professional, nothing seemed too much trouble.
The nature walk with Tony was excellent.
We tuk-tuk’d to the Tea Museum and then to Munnar and back. Walked to waterfalls and to watch the sunset and went on a Sunrise jeep excursion.
I highly recommend Tea Harvester.

Disappointing
Slightly dirty rooms and unreliable in their communication. For example, they told me they would organise a TukTuk in advance but never did thus arriving to late at the activity. Therefore, would not relay on anything. Balcony had a nice view but smell from the kitchen and gas, especially in the evenings.
Definitely too expensive for what you get and would recommend to stay somewhere else.

Even the coffee is delicious
Stylish building with good comfort and facilities. Good food at the restaurant (breakfast & dinner) with a nice variety + beer!
