A wonderful stay!
It was a wonderful stay at Tea Valley Resort, started with a warm welcome and a sparkling welcome drink which continued with prompt service, very well-spread buffet, and polite people with a sense of hospitality.
Loved the room, beautiful view, lovely swimming pool surrounded by greens, bonfire like activities, and tasty food. A fabulous stay with family!

Stunning Views, But a Very Disappointing Stay Overall.
The location is pleasant and offers a beautiful view of the tea plantations, and the altitude ensures a consistently pleasant atmosphere. However, the road leading to the property is extremely narrow, making it quite dangerous and accident-prone. It also feels unsafe to travel on at night.
The rooms appear quite old and not very well maintained. Every morning, there was no hot water, and at times, flushing the toilet resulted in muddy water, which was quite unpleasant.
The service was average—neither particularly good nor terrible. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Even after the menu was reduced due to an LPG shortage, the quality did not improve and the dishes lacked taste.
We had specifically chosen this resort to enjoy family activities like carrom, but the game room was poorly maintained. Most of the facilities were outdated and not usable.
Additionally, the breakfast buffet had very limited options, with most items being repeated daily and not tasting very good.
Overall, I would not recommend this hotel unless there are significant improvements in its facilities and maintenance.

Worst management wasting the beautiful property.
Property is beautiful and located close to Munnar in mid of tea estate. Lovely ambiance and nature at its best. Being a wildlife enthusiast, enjoyed birding around and sighted many mammals and reptiles too. The property design allows you to connect with nature at its best. Access road is decent but poorly maintained. Only BSNL has limited network coverage.
But is that enough?
Smelly rooms, unwashed towels and bed sheets, unhealthy food preparation, unapologetic management!
Lucky, we travel with our own toiletries, we managed that part. We were forced to buy bed sheets and blankets, after the request to replace went in deaf ears.
Cold soups served, hair in almost all dishes, rotis/rice will be served and sabji/gravy will be missed to be prepared conveniently - no apology, worst they don’t even see it as a problem.
Traditional Kerala food is there for namesake and tastes more like it’s prepared by a first timer - still edible. Other dishes tastes worse and mostly half cooked.
Drivers’ accommodation couldn’t be stepped in - filled with alcohol smell, gutka smell and vomiting smell blended in a perfect mix. When questioned, they blamed drivers’ behaviour. But all drivers and resorts’ own junior staff confirmed that it just the act of senior resort managers who use it as their bar! So if you are taking your driver, book a separate room in a better hotel.
Many other guests who were in the property during my visit also expressed the same issues, some were worse than ours.
After second day, I politely checked out to shift to a better cost effective property; But the resort manager called up for a verbal confrontation after we boarding the car. We just drove out with no intention to return.
This is my second negative in my last 20 years of travel, the first was 18 years ago. Surprisingly this is the first negative review for a highly rated property on trip advisor.

Unsafe place you should never visit
Worst resort I have ever seen in my life with no respect for customer, un safe place with no security cameras,
broken game room, pathetic service. Overall a place you should never visit in munnar. Avoid it all costs..don't get lured by dake reviews.

Resorts with full of thiefs.. place to avoid
Thieves stole money.. no cameras. Safety issues.. road is bad.. all play activities are broken. Overall a place no one should go. Food is ok ok ..there are better resorts available which is must visit place rather than this pathetic place with caretaker staff is no at all good.
