Great location, nice rooms, very friendly, excellent value

We had a great stay at Hotel Arches. The location in Fort Kochi is great. The rooms are large and the amenities are very nice. The breakfast was good, as was the restaurant downstairs. The staff were very friendly. They even held our luggage for us for no charge a few days after we checked out. Highly recommended!
Note: Hotel Arches did *not* ask me to write this review—notable because every other hotel we stayed at in India aggressively asked for reviews.

Okay stay very close to Princess Street in Fort Kochi area

We stayed here for 2 nites.
The staff was very welcoming and even helped us check in at 1 am in the midnight.
The location is perfect, it's stone throws away from the princess street were all the cafés and resturants are.
We got a room at a higher rate, this was due the high season. However for the value we paid, we dint find it worth it.
The downsize of our stay was the breakfast. The quality and the varity of the food is very low and sub par. Even though we had shared them our dietary restrictions beforehand, they did not adhere to the same which was disappointing. Even the coffee was so bad.
We had read reviews of the food being very good at the property, but this was not our experince. The location of the breakfast is also moved to the terrace which we did not like. Especially during our time it has started to get hot even at 9 AM in the morning.
Overall our rating for the hotel is 3/5.

Good Property

The place is good for a night or two nights. Clean property, carried the Fort Kochi Vibe and centrally located. We liked the room, that was facing the street and it even had a balcony! The airconditioner could barely keep the room chill and we had to keep the fan on at all times. Breakfast was mediocre, and the cutlery was even depressing. I suggest stepping out for breakfast if that works. Options are plenty within walking distance. Overall, I won't complain a lot about the stay but the food could be improved. And btw, there is no lift in the property and may have to take the stairs if you are staying in the higher floor.

Ideal place to stay in Fort Kochi

I cannot recommend Arches highly enough. It is staffed by the most helpful people in the world for whom nothing is a bother. We were there as a small group and had a number of issues , including a mislaid passport ( which was found!) and Neeraj and staff went the extra mile to sort this out.
The hotel itself is very well positioned for seeing Fort Kochi and although central is not noisy. The rooms are clean, spacious and have plenty hot water.
Breakfast on the roof is a lovely way to start the day with dosas or omelettes whipped uo to your taste along with the usual variety of toast or Indian options.
Arches itself does not gave a restaurant but there is one on the premises which has a good range of well priced food. althiugh not licensed for alcohol There are also plenty of other places round about.
I have now been in Arches several times and plan to use on my next trip to Kerala.

Very good

Very nice hotel, best location, good atmosphere, best service, nice rooms.My tour group was very satisfied have felt very comfortable. Would like to book there again in 2027. Unfortunately, I couldn't book as many rooms as I would have needed. I hope to accommodate all travelers there in 2027.
