Wonderful. A perfect stay.

It was hard to pick somewhere to stay in Kumily; there is so much choice. We settled on Mountain View and it is my favourite place so far after 6 weeks in Kerala. You can read good reviews but it’s hard to really know until you go there. Well cared for, homely and full of love. And immaculately clean. Good bed and bedding. Breakfast was delicious and again made with the care that Afsal clearly shows to everything and everyone here. And great coffee, enjoyed on the perfect rooftop communal space. Afsal is so kind as are his lovely friends. And Sophie is a skilled and sensitive yoga teacher. I’m sorry to leave.

Great breakfast and very welcoming host.

In our search for a good breakfast we saw this Homestay on Google. It takes a while to find the place, but once you arrive you immediately know you are good. Because of the low season it took a bit longer (the Owner does everything himself) but it was worth the wait. Delicious breakfast with banana and Nuttela pancakes or other combinations. And the Muelsi Cerial is really delicious with fresh fruit. Everything made on the spot and with love.
Too bad we had already booked another hotel otherwise we would definitely have stayed here.

The best place in Kumily!

I loved this place! It has the best atmosphere. You feel welcome from the moment you step in. The host is really friendly, and will give you advice about what to do in the city. The rooms are spacious and very clean. There is a common area which is beautifully decorated with hammocks and places to hang out. Perfect for a solo traveller.

À good expérience in Mountain View, Afsal is adorable

Hello everybody, we spent 2 nights here and we were very Well here. Afsal is really kind and helpful, his salt breakfast is delicious and you can trust him . We arrived very late the First day, we were tired and he accompanied me to BOOK the visit to periyard Park… his rooftoop is really peaceful and plaisant … go go go , isa Kirchner

We spent 3 wonderful nights at Mountain View Homestay. The owner, Afsal is a lovely person. Taking care of his hosts and always ready to chat. His only goal is for you to have a good time at his place. Everything is furnished with great taste and lots of greenery. The roof top is super zen and invites you to relax. Plus Afsal is a cleanliness freak so everything is super clean. We highly recommend this place. Very good breakfast and low price. Thank you for everything Afsal and we will come back to see you with pleasure.
