Happy guest
Hotel grand chube is perfect for stay. I had good quality time with my friends overhere .Rooms are perfect well maintained and from wide window you can clearly see beautiful mountains covered with snow that's good to be seen when you wake up.

Value for Money... Highly Recommended
We were two families booked the hotel by calling owner Mr. Sonam directly. Our first experience some 11 years back with him was awesome and same goes this time too.
Not only he booked his Hotel for us but also arranged taxi/permit for Nubra and Pangyong as well as guest houses there.
This hotel is 4 story building with ground floor having dining area and common Activity area. Building is equipped with lift.
All 3 floors were having 10 rooms at each floor. We stayed in Room No 120( family room)- quite large in size and 119 ( standard room) .
Hot water is available all the time. Our Package included breakfast and dinner . During our 6 night stay food served in variety and taste.
One member from our family got altitude sickness. Owner/Staff took care like own family. They took multiple rounds to hospital with us.
Leh still have a culture of " Atithi Devo Bhav"

Good people, poor execution!
If you like dirty sheets, poor wifi and below average food; this is your place!
I travel a lot! Humble is ok, dirty is not!
I asked sheets to be changed, the sets that were brought up were dirty as well!
A true traveler’s assessment for this hotel should be $25/night

On return to Leh, I would choose a different place.
Like all of India this is a place of contrasts. For an American traveller the view with mountains, palace, and monestary was great. The location to the main market was good. I had room 122 with balcony. The staff was willing with the owners wife even loaning us all (10 people) traditional costumes for a day. However, communication was difficult and often mis-understood. The help, excepting Sonam at front desk and a bit the owners wife, speak and understand no English. (I didn't meet the owner)
The room was large and bed was ok. Other travellers I was with had terrible issues with the cleanliness of bed linens and towels. Mine were older but ok. The internet, the elevator, the electric, and hot water are all very hit or miss. A lot of miss. Leh is an out of the way place but still hot water and internet seem basics in a place that promises them (other area hotels dont have these issues).
The food? A lovely traditional dining room. Again, while willing to please, the food was common. Nothing to love but especially with the addition of fresh fruit and juice, ok.
The room I was in had the hose next to the toilet continually spraying so you and the seat were wet. They couldn't seem to resolve it. We put the hose in the 1 garbage can in the room and while it overflowed, it did solve the spraying problem.
There is a lovely garden where the owners grow fruits and veg and it was nice to see it bloom in the time we were there.
The thing that saves this is the warmness and kindness of the people, which we found everywhere in Ladakh. In summary, for a couple dollars more there are lovely, more comfortable alternatives.

Good Stay in freezing weather
Located in Leh city, it has good rooms with basic amenities. The staff is very cooperative & helping. Breakfast & dinner was good. The temperature goes below zero up to -10 deg c, & some times day temperature too is below zero i.e. freezing cold. Since this region lacks oxygen, there are no room heaters provided. Hot water supply is good. Overall nice stay.
