When in Madurai, it is Gopuram Grand that I choose

Located at the West tower entrance of the Meenakshi Temple. Perfect ideal location to visit the temple and to enjoy the vibrancy of the city. They have a platform kindly of sit-out in the open. It was fun to sit there and watch people visiting the city from across the country, the vendors trying to optimise their business. We booked a triple bed room. The room was comfortable with the basic amenities. There are no windows or balcony. Parking space is about 300 meters from the hotel. The staff help to pick the luggage in a trolly. Being peak summer, the infused water with lemon and mint was absolutely refreshing. Complementary unlimited vegetarian breakfast is provided. They have a vegetarian restaurant ' Meenakshi cafe's which provides north indian and south indian food, along with chaat and sandwich items. Absolutely delicious.
The topping of the desert were the staff of Gopuram Grand. Extremely warm, helpful and smiling - at the reception, house-keeping and the restaurant. Ms. Meenakshi and Mr. Jayaram were very helpful that made our stay very comfortable. A special mention of the staff who took personal care of the food- Mr. Hari, Ms. Priyanka , Ms. Gayatri, etc,etc. I didn't ask everyone's names. But each one of them were so good. These guys really made our stay more special. My brother doesn't eat garlic. The 1st day of breakfast, Mr. Hari realised this. They arranged for chutney without garlic, appam and stew without garlic. This experience really touched us. Great warmth. The whole stay is now etched in our memory. Highly recommend people to chose this place when visiting Madurai.

The Meenakshi Temple is just next to this property, making it a perfect location for visitors.
The hotel is excellent, and the staff is incredibly helpful and welcoming. It also has an in-house restaurant, but you’ll find plenty of great dining options within walking distance if you’d like to explore.
And if you’re in Madurai, don’t miss trying Jigarthanda—it’s an absolute must! 😁

Neat and clean hotel with good Hospitality

I recently stayed at Hotel Gopuram Grand in Madurai from and I had an absolutely wonderful experience.
The entire staff was incredibly polite, attentive, and always ready to help make our stay as comfortable as possible.
Wish they could smile a bit especially the reception staff .
There was a small issue in drain clogged in washbasin which had to be told and immediately it was rectified , but only this aspect could be improved so that before checkin the hotel staff tests all aspects of room to ensure maximum comfort and avoid hiccups .
We also dined at their in-house restaurant, and the food was consistently good and well-prepared.
A special shoutout goes to Sakti from the hotel team. We had an early morning checkout today, and Sakti thoughtfully went out of his way to arrange a neatly packed breakfast for us to take on the road. It was incredibly convenient and showed a genuine commitment to guest comfort, it's personalized touches like this that make a stay memorable.
Highly recommend Hotel Gopuram Grand to anyone visiting Madurai!

Pleasant Stay with Excellent Hospitality at Gopuram Grand

Had a pleasant stay at Gopuram Grand. The location is convenient, the atmosphere is calm and comfortable, and the rooms are neat, cozy, and well-maintained. Cleanliness is well taken care of, and the place remains peaceful with minimal noise. The service was friendly and prompt, and the amenities provided were quite satisfactory for the price.
Special thanks to Karkuvel, Gowtham, and Hari for their excellent hospitality and support. Overall, a great experience and definitely worth it!

my stay at Gopuram Grand

Honestly the best experience. I went with my family and you can’t get hospitality like this anymore. We’ve travelled all the way from England and boy were we blown away. The architecture and atmosphere was so beautiful. And honestly just such a pretty hotel. Rooms were super clean and overall very well priced. We were at the restaurant and we were served by these two lovely ladies called Gayathri and Priyanka. So attentive and spoke English and Tamil. Nice to see inclusivity in a hotel. Very welcoming to both foreigners, tourists and locals. 10/10 would recommend this place.
