Denied Swimmimg Pool, but collected money for it.

As v booked the place with a purpose of resting at night, didn't have other expectations, but the biggest disappointment was non-availability of swimmimg pool. It was a definite cheating act from there side because repeatedly v told them that v r booking the place only for the pool facility. After cunningly collecting the full amount in adv they simply told us that it is under maintenance n didn't allow refund or reduction.

Dated interiors. Great location

We stayed for couple of days. The interiors were dated and not well maintained. Things were broken in room and bathroom. They had given a family room with king bed and sofa converted bed. The AC was not working well and the sofa bed was located right at the door. AC or fan air was not reaching and making it uncomfortable to sleep. The hotel is located very conveniently near major attractions but that all about it. I think if the hotel management fixes the issues, then it would be a good place to stay. But for now I would avoid recommending it to others.

Find another hotel!

Mold on the breakfast toast - was replaced on requests, but we still paid the full price. No apology from the staff.
Mold in the bathroom, extremely dirty bathtub, unpleasant smell in the entire room, which belongs urgently renovated and cleaned (!!). It was sometimes disgusting, despite "Indian" conditions. We did get another room on request, but this differed only minimally from the first. Due to a short stay we decided to stay, but would definitely not stay there again. Staff at the reception seemed bored, unmotivated and disorganized (eg in terms of payment options and laundry service).

Old is gold, if you maintain it. Attitude is good if quality is delivered.

We've been to the Parklane Hotel ten times now. However, nothing is the same.
Supervisor Mr. Harsha sir, housekeeping Kumarswamy, and his team are very helpful. Hats off to them, as they are trying to make the guests happy even though infrastructure sometimes does not permit that.
The management is clueless. Only rooms are allotted; since my reservations were made through Goibibo, we could not use 2 of the 3 park view rooms due to the AC not working. Refunds are never permitted during check in as we were not happy with the room. Me, wife, father, In-laws had to sleep on the floor with kids in the first night, and the next day, two different rooms were provided.
Mr. Harsha sir was kind enough to convince management to get a Rs 2000 refund as a token of apology (~10%) of the total booking amount for our bitter experience.
Even if one calls them in advance and requests any specific things during check-in, like room preference, the same is not entertained.
A magnificent hotel may have lost everything as a result of neglect.
Attitude is good, but only when accompanied by quality. Please take money, but deliver quality. I miss my old Parklane and the old people here, whom I met nine times.
Please avoid the 2nd floor room, even if given for free. Please check that the AC, hot water, bathroom equipment, and accessories are working fine before checking in.
Please visit their sister concern, Rooftop open-air revolving restaurant High Park, which is awesome.

An average kind of place with the advantage of a beer garden setting

I’ve been to this place quite a few times over the years. I always find its name pretty funny given its point of reference. It’s got a beer garden set up on the first floor that’s relaxing to drink in. It’s got a large north and South Indian menu with a range of Indian/Chinese choices. The drinks are good, the food is ok and you can get smashed here quite happily. But it is a bit pricey for what you get and it’s not that welcoming. But it’s ok.
