Wonderful place

Raj- excellent restaurant manager. Very attentive. Best food i have had in India. Ms Dolly provided the most beautiful service. Will defo come back.

Avoid, Avoid, Avoid at all costs

I checked in for a three-night stay with the most basic expectations: clean sheets and working Wi-Fi.
After checking in on the 4th floors, I discovered a bathroom infested with cockroaches, the wifi not working, the bedsheets soiled and dirty. To top it off, there were noisy repairs in progress in the corridor.
The 'service' here is a comedy of errors. After an hour of failed IT attempts to fix the non-existent Wi-Fi, I discovered the bedsheets were visibly soiled. Housekeeping’s defense? They don't do laundry on-site, so it 'wasn't their problem.'
The management is where the real disaster lies. After agreeing the room was 'unsatisfactory' and promising a relocation, the manager (Atul) returned 20 minutes later to claim the hotel was full—despite the hallways being eerily deserted. He then looked me in the eye and assured me a full refund if I cancelled via Agoda.
The moment I checked out, the tune changed. The next day I learned from Agoda that the hotel had blocked my refund request. It just proves that their primary business model isn't hospitality, but calculated dishonesty. They will promise you the world to get you out the door, then keep your money for a room that was never fit for human habitation.
Avoid this place at all costs unless you enjoy paying to be lied to while surrounded by roaches.

Nice stay at Urban Hermitage

Overall experience was good. Need to improve room service. Our bookings were handled by Mr Atul very efficiently. Food quality was good. Break fast spread can be improved.

Wifi from 2002. Bed from 2026

The wifi here is slower than dialup that I used back in 2002. Checked in. Set up at the desk. One outlet is broken, one is halfway broken. Then I try to set up for a video call. No dice. I run speed test. It takes 10 minutes to load the page for speedtest. So I do the google version of it. 0.65 Mbps download and 0.47 Mbps upload. I point it out the management and they say they'll have I.T. look into it, but no promises they can get it working for my scheduled calls. I literally had to shrink the photo to get it to upload to this review to show the poor wifi.
There's only three things I really need for a room - A clean bed, cold AC and decent wifi. It has the first two. It definitely does NOT have the last one.

A good place to stay.

1. Rooms: Good
2. Food: Good Quality Food with multiple options
3. Service: Good and Timely service
4. Very good response from the reception on queries and very quickly resolved the issues
