Good, clean hotel with excellent staff

We stopped over at this hotel on our way to Shimla. It's located conveniently on the main road.
The rooms were clean, though the bathrooms need work.
But the highlights were the restaurant (food's great) and the friendly staff.
For a budget hotel, it exceeded expectations.

business hotel in parwanoo

old style hotel but you have a hotel at first place in such a small town like parwanoo is only a big thing..restaurant serves good food though..very basic rooms if you get a chance stay at chandigarh as it is 45mins drive from parwanoo..I had to stay here because my work demanded so at it was for long hours at Parwanoo so returning late at night would had been a problem

could do so much better

We arrived in the evening off the Shimla train . My 91 and 86 year old travelling companions were tired and feeling faint. The staff were more concerned at filling in paperwork x 4 than attending to them. For some reason they wanted to bustle us into the lift. We repeatedly explained that we wanted refreshments and a meal first. The bedrooms were very tired and the walls finger marked, grubby and stained, all that was needed was a couple of coats of fresh white paint and the improvement would be stunning.
There appeared to be only two other parties staying so why were we asked what time we wanted breakfast only to arrive to find that all the chairs were pushed together and no tables laid. We allowed an hour for breakfast before departure in our taxi for Kalka train station. It took 35 minutes before we were given a glass of water and 45 minutes before we got a pot of tea and scrambled eggs by which time the taxi was ready to take us and we had to leave breakfast. There were plenty of staff on duty. I would not advise staying here and it is not in the hills but on a busy road. The best bit is the parking

Comfortable, clean rooms and good restaurant

We reached very late in the night, staff was still very active and helped with smooth check in formalities.
The room was small and simple, more importantly, it was clean and tidy.
Breakfast was very nice.
Only advice to travellers is, to ask them about the tariff inclusive of taxes.
I observed that they were not upfront in telling that the rate at which they got us checked-in, was exclusive of taxes. There were heavy taxes which they levied, at the time of checking out.

Good hotel with polite and generous staff

Stayed here in 1st week of Jan 2017 on a official visit. Shall quickly jot down some pros cons
Pros
1. Hotel staff - behaviour is good and polite
2. Heater available inside room so it was like a gift in such a cold weather outside.
3. Food is good in quality and quantity
4. Atms of different bank are very very near by to the hotel
Cons
1. Wifi connectivity needs to be improved so that it reaches well for the rooms which are at the end of the lobby
2. No jet spray in the washroom lacking modern day amenity
