I had a wonderful stay on 15/08/2017..the staff are very friendly and very servicable its hard to find such hotels...there was a complementary breakfast provided.. Located nearby chathiram bus stop which is the amain bus stop and near Rock fort..

Pathetic stay

I checked into the hotel in the morning at around 08.45 hrs and wanted to have a room as It was referred by my auto person. They gave me a room 301 which was near to the Lift. The room did not have an A/C. I informed them particularly that I was a hotelier from Pondicherry and they denied me any special rates I was charged ₹1700+taxes for 3 pax. I had informed them that I would be checking out before 05.00pm but there was no concession given on the room rates.The reception was very rigid on the rates.
The room was not cleaned properly. They charged me for 3 people and provided me only with 01 bottle if water.
The room was dull and the lighting was pathetic inside. The hot water was ok. But I checked out even before the time specified by 02.30 pm Itself. The reception or the person who gave me room not even responded properly. I think people working here are to be given proper training to run the hotel. They didn't even bother to provide any extra towels and toiletries inside the room. The chair was shabby and the rooms cannot be opened for the Balcony as there was traffic noise all through the day. The Cable TV worked well. The wooden Almira had only one hanger in the room.
All together it was a pathetic stay at this hotel.
I will definitely not recommend this hotel to anyone from my place who travel to this destination for sure.

Hotel Chitra review

Hotel Chitra location is really very good. Walkable distance to chattiram bus stand. All good hotels for food available nearby. Autos available easily. Can travel easily to rock fort Uchipilliar temple, Srirangam temple, Thiruvanaikovil temple and Mukkombu and Kallani dam.
Things to note in hotel Chitra - Good hot water is available only at early morning. Fans to be improved in non AC rooms. Costlier because of location.

Only basic necessity

The hotel has only very basic necessity. Basically it is a lodge.
Need to update a hotel staff for hot water. Better keep your own lock n key. The location is near Chattaram bus stop. Which is located on National highway 81
Truck brakes and horn honking goes 24x7. Lots of dust. No tissue paper. Some room A.C. not working. Cost to the service is not reasonable.

Nice place to stay for family

I stayed there this april 2017 with family on my way from palani to chennai. This hotel provides excellent hospitality and rooms are neat. It has parking facility and convenient location. Has many hotels and nearby shopping places.
