An excellent experience
I stayed at the venue along with my family from July 21 to 24, 2026. The location is perfectly located along the banks of the river Ganga, can go for bathing in the Ganga anytime during 24 hours within 1 min walk. Staff at hotel is courteous, polite and knowledgeable. Their style of welcoming the guests is traditional and warm. The musical event every evening is a treat to the ears, they also entertain any special song requests. The tabla artist was especially good. Food at the hotel is fantastic, is freshly prepared and it consists of surprisingly high variety of items. Rooms are well maintained and clean. The finger-snack event in the evening is great. I had a personal emergency during my stay, and they helped me out even in the late evening. Overall, an excellent experience.

Lovely space on the ghat ~ the staff are kind and genuine and the food is amazing. Exceptional views

Very nice family hotel near Ganges river
A very nice family run hotel. Location close to the Shivala Gath at Ganges River in Kashi, the old spiritual center of Varanasi is an asset. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. The rooms are not very big, but comfortable and very clean. Great view from roof top. Daily afternoon tea for guests included. Restaurant serves good quality indian food and the service is very good thanks to Brijesh, Sagar and Hasan, who do everything they can to make sure guests have a good time.

Living on a ghat at Varanasi
The location in just one the Shivala Ghat with a private passage to the ghat. If one stays at Ganges View room, Gangaji is viewed from the room. The place us very calm and quite and unlike other ghats, Shivalik ghat is much less crowded. The haveli was built by royal family of Nepal, so it presents an old world royal charm.
The executives in reception and housekeeping staff are courteous, efficient and quickly responds to requests.
Overall the experience was excellent and if one wants a quite and royal Benaras stay, Amritara Surtaday Haveli is recommended.

Spiritual stay in our Indian adventure
Perfectly situated traditional hotel located by the Shivala Ghats overlooking the River Ganges. Excellent welcome by friendly, smart staff. The room was simple and comfortable, the sunset view looking over the ghats and the river was stunning and the whole hotel was meticulously clean. Fabulous choice of high quality, reasonably priced home cooked food.
