Beautiful home, perfect location, helpful people!
This is a formerly traditional Balinese home, and it’s a beautiful place to stay. The grounds are lovely and the views of the city rooftops are gorgeous at sunset. Breakfast is nice and the staff is incredibly helpful with anything you need. They helped me get transportation on many occasions. This location is absolutely perfect, on such a cute street, walkable to everything in the city. Great for the price! I highly recommend staying here!

Stay away from these people!
Very rude and disrespectful gentleman who runs this place. Dont attempt even to book it. Triple rooms with a city view were on the 3rd floor. If your legs are swollen from a day tour you just cant lift even one step. Initially, i booked 3 nights. But when I saw the room, the Ac was not working weĺl, some of wooden floors are broken with protruding nails. So decided to cancel it. And when i told him i wanted to cancel the 2 nights he became hysterical. Started shouting at me that it cant be cancelled. He said you can go now and pay the one night. Why should I? Told him i will pay one night and go the next morning. He even followed me to my room and repeatedly told me to cancel my booking so he can take customers for the next nights. I want to elaborate more of what happen, but to top it all, He was very rude. You can find another place with a cheaper price and a bigger pool. People here didnt even bother to ask if we wanted breakfast. So we ended leaving the place immediately. Such a shameful experience. He is very afraid of the rating i will give in booking.com so he made sure i cancelled it. Well, I had a way to tell my story.

Awful sharing tour. DO NOT BOOK. PREDATORY DRIVER.
I would love to give this place a better review. The location is amazing,the man who greeted us was lovely and friendly and the rooms are good. The breakfast is mediocre at best, but it is free so easy enough to go elsewhere. The room is not closed so problems with mosquitoes in the night but a/c worked really well.
So.. why the one star?
Well we booked a sharing tour through the homestay and the experience was terrible. The driver gave off a strange vibe from the moment we got in the car and his driving was awful. We understand the roads aren't great but he was dangerously overtaking huge queues of cars. He also seemed in a rush the whole time and wanting it to be finished as soon as possible.
At the first stop our friend was sick and said she needed to go home and asked where to get a taxi from. He insisted there was nowhere nearby to get a taxi but there would be at the next stop. She reluctantly got back in the car and drove to the next stop. Here she was very sick again and very faint so decided to stay laying in the car whilst we walked around for a bit. Whilst in the car he came in and insisted on rubbing Vicks on her back which she thought was weird and then he started rubbing around her front at which point she said to stop and that she would just like some water. He kept going and his hands slipped in the front of her shorts and she told him no she really just wanted water. He also pointed to his cheek and asked for a kiss and she said no and got out the car. She was extremely uncomfortable and this was obviously a horrible, traumatizing experience for her.
This stop was also even more remote than the first and there were no taxis around like he had said. Luckily another girl on the tour with us knew a driver in Ubud who was able to come pick her up (after the tour driver had claimed she would get no signal).
Two of us who stayed on the tour and were shocked that the entrance fees for the remaining stops were double what the homestay has advised us they would be. The driver also pressured us to change the tour to a different stop closer by (ended up just being our lunch spot) the choice for lunch (place with rice field view) a buffet was almost inedible.
The next day we went to pay for our stay here and we explained to the son that my friend had been too sick and that we weren't happy with the tour. He immediately got very angry and defensive and made us very uncomfortable again.
We asked for the tour name and driver name (Jalan-Jalan Sharing Tours) which he gave us but we cannot find them online so had to write a review on here.
Please do not book a sharing tour through this homestay ESPECIALLY if you are a girl.

Nice cozy hotel
We stayed here for two nights. We booked a triple room with a pool view, but because of the douple-booking had to spend the first night in a different room which was okay for us, but the a/c was quite poor. Anyway we enjoyed our stay, the staff was very friendly and easy to co-operate with. Rooms were clean. The hotel is very cozy and ambient. Location is excellent on a very nice street.

Could be better but decent
This place has a number of private rooms and a couple of dorms. It was quiet when I was there.
The good things: The cleaning/serving staff were very nice. Breakfast was ok although very scarce on the scramble compared to other places I have been to in Bali. The bed was comfortable, hot water in the bathroom and you get a locker beneath the bunk bed they assign you. Small pool but nice. The courtyard is full of green and creates a nice atmosphere.
The could-be-better: The curtains for the beds are very loud although great for privacy. Just get some earbuds if you're staying in the dorms. Check-in was brisk, curt and they do not offer to or help with bags. Towels do not come with a dorm bed. When I asked about renting one, they had to go and check. It was fairly expensive to rent a towel.
