In a quieter area of Ubud
The people were very nice, brought us a great breakfast in the morning with omelette and fresh fruit and tea. It was clean and pretty, with a nice view from our balcony. We were slightly unsure what it was going to be like when we booked our stay since there were so few reviews, but it turned out to be great! It was still near the center of everything in Ubud, but down an alleyway which made it a nice quiet location. Their garden was also very pretty. Definitely good value for price.

Quiet area and nice rooms
We stayed in a private room with an ensuite bathroom and a balcony with a lovely view. The wifi was not very good, our room was meant to come with a bath but didn't and the staff were quite hard to communicate with. Breakfast was included and brought to the room. Very good location.

Excellent stay in Ubud
I stayed here recently for 2 days and my experience was extremely good. House is located just 5 minutes from main street in Ubud, near Ubud post office, but it is so peaceful that you never feel you are in a city. It is a cosy house with ground and first floor, with rooms reasonable in size. There is a small courtyard inside and a beautiful temple. One can experience a Balinese culture during the stay. Owners (husband-wife) are very kind in nature and they are hard working too, as they keep on working on making nice bamboo articles. They are very cooperative and offer you their best. Breakfast is basic but very good, mainly with bread, omelette, seasonal fruits and a nice coffee. Stores, shops, ATM, market, taxi, restaurants, almost everything we need is just at walking distance. There is no TV but I never felt need of it. Overall my experience was very good and it is value for money.

Utari house is the best!
We had the most wonderful experience staying here. From the very beginning we felt welcome and at home. We traveled in bali for 1 month and never found a home stay that was as clean/nice/with friendly staff as the Utari House. We loved the location because it was off the beaten path just a little but everything was still within walking distance. Our bed, walls, and bathroom were clean (which is hard to find in Bali.) Our breakfast and tea were always divine! And the family running the home stay is simply the nicest! I would definitely come back, and recommend this place to anyone staying in Ubud. Don't miss out on a wonderful experience!!!

Finally felt at home!
After staying at three other homestays in Ubud we found Utari and fell in love. Great location close to downtown with a clean and comfortable room that didn't feel cheap like similar rooms in the price range. Ketut and her family are the most kind and accommodating hosts we've had yet; she is a wonderful woman who made us feel right at home. We extended our stay a few times because we couldn't imagine waking up anywhere else! The best included breakfasts we've had didn't hurt either :)
There are two upstairs rooms with balconies that are the best, the lower two open into the communal area (like many homestays). The bathrooms are echoey, a common theme in bali I think? But very new and clean. Comfy beds, clean and beautiful everything. I might be repeating myself at this point, but Utari was a great experience, and I'd recommend it to everyone.
