Beautiful tranquil place

We had our wedding day on 31.
05.26 in the Millhouse Slane, myself and bridal party with immediate family stayed at Balrath the night before.
It was everything we wished for. Frances was so lovely and welcoming, the gardens are perfectly maintained and allow a beautiful explore around which was unexpected. The accommodation was comfortable, spacious and homely and location was perfect (super quiet)
We will return for sure for a longer stay.

Unreasonable staff

Beware of unreasonable cancellation policies and unreasonable staff. Charging €150 to cancel almost 4 weeks in advance (for a 1 night stay). Unwilling to listen to reasons provided.

Great stay at Balrath Courtyard.

I was attending a nearby wedding at Ballymagarvey Village and needed accommodation in the local area.
I found Balrath Courtyard, (2 min drive/ 10 minute walk from venue) and booked a 2 bedroom house for the night. Couldn't recommended them enough.
Frances gave me a really lovely welcome with some freshly baked scones. The house was perfect, very clean with everything I needed with all mod cons. Fully stocked with Tea/coffee and breakfast items including freshly made jams and orange juice. She went above and beyond by even giving me a lift to the Wedding. Would definitely recommend Frances and Balrath Courtyard as a great place to stay.

Lovely

I stayed at Balrath back in September 2018 and really liked it it was cosy had everything I needed. It’s out of the way quiet beautiful Meath as ever. Frances the host was very kind and she was telling me she has nice plans for the place in the future. I WOULD RECOMMEND Balrath

A neatly presented wedding venue.

we stayed in a block known as the schoolhouse, Ballymagarvey Village which is a group of outbuildings to Ballymagarvey, Balrath, Co. Meath. The original house was built mid 18th century and has been thoroughly restored. It was once the home of the Osborne family.
back to our room. it was unusual, opening directly off the courtyard. The only window was a tiny one incorporated into the door. The bathroom was lovely. there was no TV. there was no tea making facilities in the room. the bed was big. Clearly it has been developed for a particular type of customer.
